The service members unboxed pallets of turkeys and other foods, packed them into 3100 bags, and then loaded the bags onto 18 NYS Department of Transportation vehicles which were then used to distribute the Turkey bags across the NYC/Long Island and Westchester areas.

The New York Military Force members were participating in the annual program sponsored by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s initiative to distribute the ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal to needy families. Coast Guard and federal law enforcement authorities completed a three-day multi-agency operation Feb. 22, 2020 in the U.S. Virgin Islands in support of Operation Full Court Press. This joint operation focused on illegal immigration and narcotics trafficking. Over 15 cargo ferry and passengers ferry were screened with more than 1000 passengers going through check points established at the Saint John and Saint Thomas ferry terminals with the assistance of the Transportation Security Administration.

New York City, NY- Service members from the New York Guard and New York National Guard reported to the Javits Convention Center in New York City at 0630 in the morning on November 25, 2019. The service members unboxed pallets of turkeys and other foods, packed them into 3100 bags, and then loaded the bags onto 18 NYS Department of Transportation vehicles which were then used to distribute the Turkey bags across the NYC/Long Island and Westchester areas.

The New York Military Force members were participating in the annual program sponsored by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s initiative to distribute the ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal to needy families. Joint Operation “Turkey Drop” included forty Service members of the New York Guard, State Volunteer Defense Force, and 10 soldiers from the New York National Guard Joint Task Force Empire Shield, assigned to Bravo Company, FT Hamilton, NY. The service members were thanked for their efforts by Brigadier General John Andonie, New York Army National Director, Chief of Staff, who observed the joint mission efforts. U.S. takes partnerships to new heights

SUNDA STRAIT (Aug. 17, 2016) Australian and New Zealand service members stand in formation to honor the wreckage of modified Leander-class light cruiser HMAS Perth (D29) and Northampton-class cruiser USS Houston (CA 30) as hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) passes. Both ships sank March 1, 1942, during the World War II Battle of Sunda Strait. Mercy is sailing to the final mission stop of Pacific Partnership 2016 in Padang, Indonesia. Upon arrival, partner nations will work side-by-side with local military and non-government organizations to conduct cooperative health engagements, community relation events, subject matter expert exchanges and a SAR exercise to better prepare for a natural disaster or crisis.
