An unusual epicurean who sets a discerning if somewhat disturbing midnight tea table for friends...very particular friends that is. As for the eye...well lets say feeling peckish one afternoon curiosity got the better of her...after all there was still one left. Partial to locally sourced meats Mme. RareMeats hiked up her skirts and betook herself to the alleyways of Whitechapel...keeping to the shadows she called in a whisper to well muscled but not too lean passerbys already brined in the local ale. Rough lads...the sort none too likely to be able to raise much of an objection and easily lured by a pretty face and a flash of ankle. After that it was simply a matter of knowing the choicest cuts...
Tea time invitations would go out in the morning....deckle edged heavy stock card and French violet scented ink...standards... you know. Midnight could not come soon enough.

I joined a Facebook group of local photographers recently and saw a post about a nearby gardens, Highdown Gardens in Worthing.
I've been living here for more than 20 years and had never heard of it, but what a gem of a place it was!
A series of small, perfectly kept gardens with gorgeous plants, a little pond with dragonflies and damselflies and the happy buzz of people from the town relaxing with picnics on a Sunday. I'm sure I'll be back soon :)
La Mésange bleue est une petite mésange qui tire son nom de la couleur bleue de sa calotte, de ses ailes et de sa queue. Sa tête est remarquable. La face, largement blanche, est barrée de trois traits bleu sombre à noirs, deux traits qui passent par l'œil pour rejoindre la nuque de même couleur, et un large trait qui rejoint un collier, qui lui-même borde les joues blanches et rejoint la nuque. The blue tit is a small tit that gets its name from the blue color of its cap, wings and tail. His head is remarkable. The face, largely white, is barred by three dark blue to black lines, two features that pass through the eye to join the neck of the same color, and a broad line that joins a necklace, which itself borders the white cheeks and joined the neck. The adult male is distinguished by the blue hue of the plumage more marked, especially the cap. The blue of the female is duller.

I found this wonderful abandoned crofe house on the island of Scalpay on Harris a couple of weeks ago and I could not resist pulling up and having my clients firing off a few shots before moving onto other locations.
The place was in a hell of a state but from high up on the moorland, it looked rather majestic in some outstanding scenery. I love photographing abandoned buildings and to wonder what kind of people once lived there interests me.
The sky was incredibly moody which lent a fantastic atmosphere to the scene. I hope you all like it. Feel free to share it if you wish :D

Storm join me looking over some trees I plan to cut down for firewood, and improve a pasture. I am sorry JJFET, I know it tears you apart to hear of violence against trees :-)
I didn't quite get the setttings right on the camera, but as you see from the sun I had only minutes (more like seconds) before it was gone and it was far from as bad as my first try. You can see that, and some more photos, in the first comment.

KP5 Aurora Borealis over the 200ft Skogafoss Waterfall, Iceland (midnight Sat 14th Oct 2017)
I have been wanting to capture the aurora over Skogafoss for a couple of years now and last night my dream became a reality.
I took my clients out to one of Iceland's most famous waterfalls around 10pm and for two hours we waited until the show built up into what you see here. The waterfall was lit by two head torches over a 30 second period which allows it to really stand out from the much darker rock and foliage around it.
