Return to Forever is a jazz fusion album by Chick Corea, simultaneously functioning as the debut album by the band of the same name. Unlike later albums by the group, it was released by the ECM label and produced by Manfred Eicher. The album was not released in the USA until 1975. The record is often considered one of the classic albums in electric jazz.

Light as a Feather is the second studio album by jazz fusion band Return to Forever led by pianist Chick Corea.

The Leprechaun is an album by Chick Corea recorded and released in 1976.

The album was recorded during Corea's time with his jazz fusion group Return to Forever. Though the album is more jazz oriented than anything Return to Forever had produced up to that time, the fusion edge still rings through quite clearly. Corea was awarded the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Performance by a Group for the album and the Grammy Award for the Best Instrumental Arrangement for "Leprechaun's Dream, Pt. 1" at the 19th Annual Grammy Awards in 1977.

Armando Anthony 'Chick' Corea (June 12, 1941 – February 9, 2021) was an American jazz pianist, composer, bandleader and occasional percussionist. His compositions 'Spain', '500 Miles High', 'La Fiesta', 'Armando's Rhumba' and 'Windows' are widely considered jazz standards. As a member of #MilesDavis's band in the late 1960s, he participated in the birth of jazz fusion. In the 1970s he formed #ReturntoForever. Along with #McCoyTyner, #HerbieHancock and #KeithJarrett, Corea is considered to have been one of the foremost pianists of the post-#JohnColtrane era.

Corea continued to collaborate frequently while exploring different musical styles throughout the 1980s and 1990s. As of June 2024, he has won 27 Grammy Awards and was nominated 72 times for the award.

Friends is a studio album by Chick Corea. It features a quartet of Corea, saxophonist Joe Farrell, acoustic bassist Eddie Gómez and drummer Steve Gadd. It was released by Polydor Records in 1978, and the cover featured The Smurfs.

Friends received the 1979 Grammy award for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Group.

A Beautiful Japanese Gem: Soft Space by The Jeff Lorber Fusion

Guest Artists: #ChickCorea & #JoeFarrell – R.I.P. to the Legends

There’s something special about holding a Japanese pressing in your hands — the craftsmanship, the sonic clarity, and of course, the aesthetics. One of those standout treasures is Soft Space by The Jeff Lorber Fusion, a smooth yet electrifying jazz-fusion album that showcases a dream collaboration featuring two jazz legends: Chick Corea and Joe Farrell, both iconic members of the pioneering fusion group #ReturnToForever.

From the first note, Soft Space immerses you in a world of swirling synths, tight grooves, and masterful improvisations. Chick Corea’s distinctive touch on the keys adds an element of depth and mystique, while Joe Farrell’s saxophone soars with soulful intensity. Their presence elevates this album from great to timeless — a true fusion of musical minds and

spirits.

A twin-flute session that's graced by the talents of Joe Farrell and Sam Most on reeds – both working here in one of their loosest, freest settings of the 70s! Both flutes get equal space in the lineup – flying and fluttering around each other, then taking off in some really great solos that have plenty of freedom, yet which still maintain the strong sense of rhythm we expect from both players. Other members of the group include Bob Magnusson on bass, Roy McCurdy on drums, Jerry Steinholtz on percussion, and Mike Wofford on both acoustic and electric piano – the latter of which is heard to great effect on the sweet groover 'Samba To Remember You By', a laidback jazz dancer that's really great. Other titles include 'Love Season', 'Hot House', 'Leaves', 'Sound Off', and 'Kim'.
