Happy Halloween, everyone!

I don't like Halloween, by the way. Not only I'm having freaky nightmares, but I'm in pretty bad mood, too. Angry (because Kotsuli is turning into a little evil bastard and attacks me in a serious way these days), sad and disappointed (because my plans to go home have been cancelled), annoyed (because it's still raining and it will stay like that till next summer), frustrated (with the whole jobsearch thing) and altogether feeling like I've been burried alive!

I just want to scream, really...

Footwear for the casual office or dress down Fridays!

Casual dress in the workplace has become increasingly popular in recent years; many businesses have opted for a more relaxed approach towards their dress code. Offices that continue to operate in a sophisticated smart dress policy often have a casual day at the end of a hard-working week, known as ‘dress down Fridays’.

It can often prove quite difficult to determine exactly what is appropriate and what isn’t as casual dress in the office doesn’t exactly mean anything goes. We have searched the web and hunted down our Top 5 stylish and colourful sneakers to brighten up the office and ensure maximum comfort for your working day. All the Sneakers selected come in almost every colour you can possibly imagine…So there will be a pair for you!!!

CASUAL FOOTWEAR TOP TIPS!

- Find out your employer’s policy on casual wear.

- Do NOT wear flip-flops.

- Express your style.

- Ensure maximum comfort.

This editorial cartoon by Bearman appeared at beartoons.com on August 3, 2009. It was inspired by the lawsuit brought by Trina Thompson against Monroe College for not doing enough to find her a job and looking to get a refund of her tuition. This toon is not about Ms Thompson but rather the fate of Universities if she should win her lawsuit.

We purchased this drawing in New York City from a lovely gallery lady who had known Isabel very well, and we were told that our drawing is a man reading "in Union Square" where Ms. Bishop would REGULARLY go to sketch. Now, years later, I go onto Google and search the words: Smithsonian interview isabel bishop. You will find the interesting Union Square / Isabel Bishop little story there that she told in her ORAL HISTORY interview. ENJOY!

I have always been a hard worker, but it has been difficult for me to learn in the traditional paper-pencil way. It is a lot easier if I can see, touch and experience things. As a result, I have had to work a lot harder than others.

When I graduated from high school, I was excited about the next chapter of my life. But reality hit, and I did not know what to do next. I explored many job options like a massage therapist and fitness trainer, but was unsuccessful. I did not feel that I could do anything and started working with my father with very little direction for myself.

When I was told about Discover Goodwill of Southern and Western Colorado’s Pursuits program, I was intrigued. I researched it with my dad and eventually decided to apply. Even though I had problems with self-confidence, Goodwill helped me believe that I am a light in this world. Pursuits helped me gain the knowledge and experience I needed to prepare for a job and work with others. There were some things that I learned in high school that I really didn’t get, such as balancing a checkbook and balancing life. Pursuits helped those concepts sink in through experience instead of on paper.

I was excited and happy that I was able to get a job with Kuni Lexus before I graduated from Pursuits. I thought I was done with Goodwill and they would probably forget about me like a shadow, but I was wrong.

I saw my face on the side of trucks, in newspapers and even on water bottles, and I was invited to Goodwill’s celebrations. It was truly mind blowing for me! When I was asked to do an interview, I thought it was going to be small and quick, but when I saw the professional cameras, lights and microphone, I was so nervous. But I managed to find the words and answer the questions.

Now that I look back and see how far I have come and how much I have achieved, I realize that there is nothing out of my reach. Thanks to Pursuits, with hard work and honesty, I can be successful. I also gained the courage and the will to keep moving forward to many more successes for my future.

Back in December 2016, the digital marketing director of McDonald’s franchise in Dubai, who also happens to be my first cousin, suggested that I should also move to Dubai and find a company to work with which can further establish my career as a storyteller.

But currently, I’m doing very well where I am, so why would I leave my native country and move to someplace that I just don’t know?

But, just for the sake of an experience, I said to myself that if I could find a company that immensely entices me as a storyteller, then I would happily welcome the journey of finally moving out of Pakistan and moving into Dubai.

Now here’s the thing you should know about me, I would never work with a company that’s only interested in making money and has no priority of impacting people’s lives even in some small amount that matters.

This belief became my journey of finding a company that allows its employees to stay relaxed and gives them the freedom to tell incredibly inspiring stories with the main target of leaving a memorable impact.

Fast forward a few days of exhaustive research and hell amounts of coffee, I stumbled upon a company called Tactical.

Originally, Tactical was suppose to be the idea for an app that perhaps would have made millions for them. Unfortunately, the app idea didn't work out so well, but the learning curve gave them the boost to start out as a web and mobile agency.

From there, Tactical became a creatively agile full service digital agency that has worked with brands like Mercedes Benz to further establish their digital presence.

I started going through all their activities on their social media channels and by far, the most interesting I found was their Instagram page.

Just take a look at the kind of Imagery they’re portraying to the world. They're fun, chilled out and immensely creative. It seems like Tactical really does allow the employees loads and loads of amount of freedom so they can become fully at ease and produce the best work possible.

When a like-minded potential client would stumble upon their social media presence, they would instantly know that Tactical has the kind of people that they would love to interact with and get the job done.

That is what Tactical believes in, getting the job done with fun like-minded people because otherwise they wouldn't be able to tackle the projects in the uniquely creative way that they know would best serve the client and their own desires to produce something meaningful.

With all this information, I once again visited Tactical’s website and saw their golden words 'Not everything works out, but that's not always a bad thing'.

I was instantly sold as I had found the perfect people to whom I can pitch to start a new YouTube channel for making video essays like these and further establish their presence through thoughtful and original content.

Now came the most challenging part where I had to create a strategy through which I could approach Tactical and pitch them about how I can lead a new department about video essays and become an integral part at their company.

Hence, the idea for this video was born where I have explained my journey of finding Tactical, what an amazing bunch of people work over there and how I would love to produce some awesome video essays with these guys.

Tactical is one of those rare companies that would entice you to collaborate with them as a storyteller and so now, I’m immensely enticed to work with them as a storyteller. So if you’re a storyteller or a story lover yourself, I would highly recommend checking out Tactical’s Instagram page for which you can click the link here (www.instagram.com/wearetactical/).

Until then, if you liked this story, be sure to share this with your friends and subscribe to my channel (goo.gl/cpdl88) so you can stay tuned to some storytelling goodness every now and then.
