Set a duration for each candidate interview and stick to it. Brevity is important for you and the candidate. Each of the established questions should have a basic time limit. 5 questions, 10 minutes for each, plus 10 minutes of lead in time makes an hour. Keep the interview to 1 hour if possible. 1.5 hours to 2 hours should be the maximum length. Longer interviews are not helpful. Schedule a follow up interview if you wish.

Job postings are seen during Drop-In Job Help at the Joel D. Valdez Pima County Library on August 13, 2012. Job help is available Mondays from 12-3 pm and Thursday from 9 am-12 pm, where a library employee can help with job search, resume review and application help.
The interview panel should review the position before meeting candidates. All relevant information such as job description, organizational structure and more should be well known by the interview panel members.
