This is a little pic I seen here on flickr and just had to stitch it. Shes so cute, I left some of the bottom bits out when I realised it just fitted the hoop perfectly. I think I'm just going to leave it in the hoop and hang it on the wall.

I found a handful of these in frames at a local sale. I have always liked Anglund's illustrations. All the lithos had bad staining and some were bad beyond any use. I cleaned these three up with an eraser, until I can research a better way to clean them.

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday, Everyone!

Winnie the Pooh is dressed for bed and has a lovely old book entitled "A Friend is Someone Who Likes You," written and illustrated by Joan Walsh Anglund. The copyright on this book is 1958 - a little treasure in my library.

I have never seen Pooh wearing these pajamas before!

Another seaside scene from the talent of Joan Walsh Anglund.

I've always loved Joan Walsh Anglund's art, even as a kid she was my favourite. I couldn't resist the urge to stitch this one up - the outline is done in embroidery and I added the colour with pencil crayons.

The original can be found here: www.everypicture.com/show_product.php?id=3176&sc=1 and is most definitely NOT in my budget, unfortunately! Doesn't stop me from loving it though.

This is the picture from the book "Morning is a little child" by Joan Walsh Anglund. The only book I have left from what used to be a substatial collection, but they got given away over the years, this one I kept for myself!
