جيمي كآن يتجهز ليوم العييد :PP

Idaho and Tina (two tuxedos) are sunning behind him.

Skiing down Juarez on a sunny afternoon at Taos Ski Valley.

"You go on ahead and take photographs of the other cats. You and I both know who the cutest one is."

I did put the bathmat there--hoping to occupy Jimmy for a few minutes. The acorn squash was really only there to keep the bathmat from sliding off the counter.

"I'd like your attention please."

Jimmy is bending himself into a pretzel to be adorable and irresistible.

After an enthusiastic introduction to the "shrimp" catnip toy, Jimmy decided he would keep it close by while he went back to napping. (see adjacent shot)

When he wants my attention, he usually gets it. =^..^=

This shot looked much better converted to black and white, digitally.

When I placed warm, just-dried laundry on the kitchen counter, Jimmy could not have been more happy. I took lots of photos; thank you for your indulgence.

(That last part is from Jimmy. He ricocheted across the keyboard.)

Nearly 14 years ago, the Animal Control Officer brought two male kittens and their mother into the practice on Thanksgiving day. I was "in the market" for a new kitten and wanted a ginger tabby. Once I met both kittens, I couldn't decide which one to choose - the healthy ginger kitten or the sickly buff kitten. I actually wanted both, of course, but had promised George that I would only take one. He finally realized I couldn't choose one over the other and agreed we could adopt both. I wanted him to feel attached to them so I asked for his suggestions for their names. He came up with Jimmy and Mack from the song by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas (we named their mom, Martha).

I truly can't imagine having only one of them. They are, of course, entirely unique, and along with Ella, have been a huge part of my life for almost a decade and a half.

Happy Caturday: Song title

...the last of the Bentonia Bluesmen

He just ate a big meal, so he might just be zoned out.

Well, this is what happens when you read the theme for the week on a Sunday morning and then take photos 4 days later. I remembered "attributes" and forgot to zoom in close.

However, I liked the light on Jimmy's whiskers against the shadows of the bushes in front of our house. I cropped the photo but didn't alter the exposure at all. The lighting was harsh and the shadows were dark but they did make Jimmy's whiskers show up.

I go into work very rarely (I work remotely from home) but I do have to go in this morning so I'll be back to comment on everyone's Happy Caturday posts this afternoon.

Happy Caturday: Attributes

I like his "toothy" smile in this one.
