How would I have known that a long flight followed by a mad rush to a wedding could wipe me out so bad that I had to sleep in the entire day? I was so knackered by the end of the night that I had to slap myself constantly to the music on the radio, lest I'd fall asleep behind the wheels. The minute my head hit the pillows, I was a complete goner. A short nap became a complete sleepover, as several attempts to wake me up failed miserably. My head was still spinning when I woke up this morning, and I crawled back into bed the minute I got home.
I think I still need to hit the snooze button a few more times. More on the great Venetian and Florentine escapade later!
