This Gigantic Jet split in two, which does occur sometimes in these types of events. This photo was taken when T.S. Harvey was just south of my location in Puerto Rico on August 19, 2017. There were many gigantic Jets but there were also sprites, halos, and elves.

Me and a friend went to the Oceana NAS air show Saturday. We left early and drove up for the day. The show pretty much sucked. They really did not have much of anything on display except crap you can buy. The demonstrations were also pretty weak.
leaves IAD Sep 4th at 5:15pm
arrives CAI Sep 5th 3:15pm.
and yep, it's one way. the next post from me will be in arabic. (ok, it probably won't, but it sounded pretty cool. and really, the next post will probably be a firehydrant or something out my front door..)
this is possibly the world's worst 'what's in the bag shot', but i've never been much of a product shooter.
Four bags, 8 lenses and 2 laptops later, I think this is what is going, though I still have a few days to change my mind.. and damn Canon for coming out with a new camera and lens that would essentially replace ALL of this. well, not you holga!
and duuude, i bought a dell.
I still have a week and a half left, but in this time I need to go to a million doc appts, rent my room, sell my car and sell just about everything else i own. then i need to pack the rest into a bitty bag.
i have no plan, but i think i'm okay with that. its scary exciting. ideally, i'll be figuing out what to do with the rest of my life. realistically, i'll probably be taking lots of pictures and blogging. and the non-plan even keeps changing. i'm not sure i'll be needing that africa book now. might need to trade it in for the middle east. or, if i get myself into darfur, i'll be writing my own LP guide.
it has not been the easiest year for me, but i know this is a good move. when situtations are bad, you need to move on. my work situation just deteriorated beyond any sort of healthy/sane norm, and i'm far from the only one jumping ship. i may be the only one jumping all the way to egypt, but i guess i'm just that pissed off.
Not to steal any thunder, but perhaps a little going away shindig could take place Sep 1 along with the celebrations of Birdcage's and others' bdays. sadly, i don't think i'll be making anymore meetups for quite some time.
you will all be missed!
This was another gorgeous I bought to de-head... but again, I ended up liking her so much, that I'm considering buying another one.... *sigh*

MAVRIXONLINE.COM Beyonce tells all in the December 22-28 issue of "Jet" magazine. the ten-time Grammy winner unveils her "true" self. In reference to her new album "I Am Sasha Fierce," she says "Sasha is my alter ego. She is the one who is on stage, fearless and bold. She does the up-tempo songs and the powerful dances. My fans expect her at my concert so I wanted to give them what they wanted, while showing my true self." In addition to the success of her latest hit, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", there is also Oscar buzz surrounding her role as Etta James in the film "Cadillac Records." Jet is no longer with us. He passed in May 2014. He was eight years old had never been sick, never gave any indication that he was in pain. He became lethargic. We went to the vet and he kidney complications. I held him while the vet put him to sleep and told him what a wonderful cat he was and how I would miss him. And he, being the pleaser that he was, purred until the end. I still think I feel him jumping into bed beside me and curling next to me especially when I'm feeling sad. I think at him at times and tell him to be a good kitty and that I will see him again someday. I also tell him to find my other pets that have crossed over and tell them that I have not forgotten them and that they are still loved and that I think of them.
I'd like to think that when I cross over I will see them (and for once they will come when I call to them) and we can spend time together again. I always tell my friends, if you get to heaven and you can't find me look for the cats, the horses, and the dogs and I'll be around there somewhere.
