Had dinner at Jennifer's house last night. Tom, Jennifer, and I cooked a fantastic stir fry.
I love that Jennifer still has the knife in her hand in this picture. (She had been cutting veggies.)
My first ever photo shoot with my friend Jennifer, I love the landscape, and where the shoot was set. I especially love this photo because of the clouds, and how epic it looks, yet Jennifer is still the focus of the photo :).
An outtake from my recent shoot with Jennifer. It's very different to my usual style, even the shoot was very different to my usual way of photographing but I'm happy to see where this road takes me.
I am working on a little portrait series with the photos taken during this shoot which I'm already really excited to share and I've still got tons more editing to do. This shoot really made me realise why I love portraiture so much. From capturing true emotion, to the detail in her lovely freckly skin. It really makes me appreciate natural beauty.

After drawing bib #1, Jennifer was the first out of the gate in the 2022 Yukon Quest 350-mile (563km) sled dog race.
Immediately after the start in Fairbanks, Alaska, mushers must descend a steep bank and negotiate a 90º left turn onto the Chena River in front of a crowd of race fans. She and her Rockin’ Ridge Kennel team made the turn beautifully and headed down the trail with vigor.
Congratulations to musher Brent Sass who won the race with a time of 2 days, 18 hours and 57 minutes.

The sun sets over the fishing boats moored in Paddy's Hole at the South Gare near Redcar. I'm sure that 'Jennifer' was once someone's pride and joy, but now only her bow section remains. The (relatively) long exposure has caused some motion blur in some of the midground boats, but I don't think it is enough to detract from the overall image.

This is a cake I made for a bridal show back in 2007. It's gotten some wear and tear, but I take it to every show, and it is proudly displayed in my store. I swear, this has to be my NUMBER 1 cake design that is requested. Brides just love it, and they love being able to personalize it with different colors and combinations.

Sunday I got a chance to shoot make-up & hair artist Jennifer Ziliotto with fellow photographer Brian Fletcher. We started shooting more natural shots for her cosmetic line Naked Eye Beauty, but towards the end took several mood shots in front of this cool (and somewhat creepy) tree.
It seems I have kept myself busy in Jan with photography related things. Now I just need to makes sure I keep it up this month.
