Into 2023 we go! My favorite 2017 Rubi is ready for some exciting adventures. My drone on the other hand has many wounds and bruises, may need to get a new one soon. Hope you all have a great year and Im looking forward to seeing all of your awesome photos. Happy New Year all you Flickrs !!!!
The large, mostly pro Palestinian, demonstration at Toronto City Hall was relatively peaceful with some verbal confrontation between Israel and Palestine supporters. There are no winners in the escalating conflict in Israel and Gaza.

This must be one of the calmest days I have ever seen down at Port MacDonnell south from Mount Gambier in South Australia. Taken on the cliff edge looking out over the Southern Ocean. It looked wonderfully peaceful under the light cloud cover.
I can't quite call this a forced perspective shot, but it is a realistic cliff top setting that blends well with the Bburago 1/18th scale model Jeep Wrangler.

It was a beautiful day for a hike. The trails were full of greens and colors. we hiked 3 miles on the North Country Trail. Our HIKE 100 NCT Total is 11 mile = 89 miles closer to earning our patch.
Easy to see its all a sign for our world to slow down, even for just a bit.

A pseudo forced perspective shot with three of my 1/18th scale model cars with the wonderful old North Blinman Hotel (dating back to 1869) in the background. It is in the Flinders Ranges in outback South Australia. Smooth sealed highways will get you this far, but further north, they become dusty gravel roads and the trusty four wheel drives are definitely recommended.
The theme for week 27 is double or multiple exposure. I took two opposite angles of this Menorcan building in the heat of the day
The NAIAS (North American International Auto Show) has come back and it’s now in September instead of January! The giant rubber ducky has been quite the commodity in the Jeep community. We have a Wrangler, my parents both drove Jeeps in the past, I used to test drive Wranglers many moons ago (I refuse to drive/own a Wrangler that’s an automatic), we even rented a Wrangler during our trip to Arizona. I say all that to share my adventures with the Jeep Wrangler. IDK how the trend started, but I’m glad that it did! My wife gets ducked all the time, and she returns the favour as well.

This is a little different than the final version; it's missing side mirrors, but I think it looks better like this.
This section of the road was okay. But after a couple of miles or so, it got really bumpy and was a total washboard. I remember I chickened out because my SUV was not in a good shape with its engine light on.

On a trip to Death Valley with a couple buddies, We stopped by Fossil Falls. Fossil Falls is an ancient water fall that has eroded the basalt rock to form unique formations in the rock.

A fun little project this week, moving away from classic cars. HCKP13 asked me for some help coming up with a wheel design for a build of his. I decided to build something around them for myself, because why not? Those tan 1x2 rounded plates were staring me down so I chose the TJ. Those other wheels were a bit small, so I decided on the ones you see here instead.
