Kein Mitleid Tour 2009

Bogarts, Cincinnati Ohio

Founded in 1984 in Paris, France by Sascha, KMFDM has been a staple of industrial dance ("ultra heavy beat" as they like to call it) for 25 years. I bought my first KMFDM album, "Don't Blow Your Top" in 1990. I would go on to buy almost all their releases afterwards, including singles. During the 90's I would find myself dancing to Juke Joint Jezabel and Light, among others at the infamous club "The Warehouse" located on Vine Street in the Over-The-Rhine district near downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. I can't say KMFDM alone influenced my musical taste, but I will say they had a profound effect. To my amazement KMFDM can still put on a great show. This show marks the 5th time I've seen them live, tied with my second most live shows of the same band/vocalist, oddly the other is James Taylor. I've only seen VNV Nation more with 6 times.

What does KMFDM mean? "Kein Mitleid Für Die Mehrheit" or No Pity For The Majority.

in-memorium !

Jazz is 8 years old today. He’s looking a bit out of sorts in this photo because he just came in from being out in the rain. He’s doing well, all things considered. His back legs (one surgically repaired twice; one problematic) don’t cause him to limp anymore, but they’re not strong. Luckily, he doesn’t know that, and he gets around just fine. One of my favorite things I love about him is that when I’m in the living room, on the recliner on which he sat for this photo, he usually lies down against or on my feet, providing warmth and comfort. He’s a good boy.

These are a new hybrid of apples called JAZZ (they are a cross between Gala & Braeburn apples). If you haven't had them --you must try this perfect fusion of sweet, tart and crunchy...

Wow, I sound like a commercial :)

Same shore and same location, jazz is played a little way off but the beach is peaceful and undisturbed as the last light hovers on the horizon for a moment before it is gone.

Perennial jazz festival players Soul Jazz Orchestra playing the big stage. My favorite performances of theirs, however, were their 2016 sets on the funky Club Jazz stage.

Walking round paris on a lazy sunday not really looking to take photos and came across this group of people. I personally can not stand Jazz but they were such an intresting mix i took a few shots. Like the angle on this one as it gives it a bit of energy.

Taken with Panasonic GF1 with 14-45 lense - processed in lightroom to bring up colours and a bit of vignetting

I got this little point and shoot 35mm for about .50 cents a few years back. It's only just recently that I found out they make a Jazz 207, which looks just like this, and comes in several different translucent-colored bodies. They're called "Jazz Jellies."

Jazzy night with nice song

I admire Mark-B's work and will never have a Leica M8, so I'm using a Jazz Jelly instead.
