The tiny harbor of Jadrija, close to Vodice at the mouth of St. Ante's channel that leads to Sibenik.
This ice jam went 20 feet on to the beach - there was that much strength pushing it ashore. In 3 days it got warmer, the winds changed and it was gone!

HLCoF everyone!
Previously the jar contained my homemade jam. The label is homemade, too. It is my photo of the view from our house at Rocky Butte. Mt Hood is obscured by the coin.

Ah, strawberries and raspberries! It's easy to see why I love them. Here's a breakdown of some possible reasons:
* Taste:
* Sweetness: Both fruits are naturally sweet, providing a burst of sugary goodness.
* Tartness: Strawberries and raspberries often have a slight tartness that balances out the sweetness, making their flavor more complex and refreshing.
* Juiciness: They are both juicy fruits, releasing a burst of flavor when you bite into them.
* Texture:
* Softness: They have a soft, delicate texture that's pleasant to eat.
* Seeds: The tiny seeds in raspberries add a slight crunch and interesting texture.
* Versatility:
* Eating alone: They're delicious eaten fresh on their own.
* Baking: Strawberries and raspberries are fantastic in cakes, pies, jams, and more.
* Other uses: You can add them to yogurt, cereal, smoothies, or even salads.
* Health Benefits:
* Vitamins: Both fruits are good sources of vitamins C and K.
* Antioxidants: They contain antioxidants that may help protect your cells from damage.
* Aesthetics:
* Colour: Their vibrant red color is visually appealing.
Ultimately, the reason you like strawberries and raspberries is likely a combination of these factors. Perhaps you particularly enjoy their sweetness, their refreshing tartness, or the way they look. Maybe you appreciate their versatility in recipes, or simply the pleasure of eating them fresh from the garden.
Do any of these reasons particularly resonate with you?

A delightful biscuit from Fox's. Raspberry and Vanilla flavour. Especially nice dunked in milk!
Cliché of a shot but I've never done it before!
Flashy information: 24" softbox camera right aiming down into the bowl of milk. YN560IV 1/16 @ 24mm. YN560IV camera right pointing into a huge white reflector for fill in to the left of subject. 1/16 @ 24mm also. Triggered via YN560TX.
- im Herbst 2015 gab es ungewöhnlich viele Kornelkirschen, ich konnte sie nicht alle den Vögeln überlassen ... und an grauen Tagen ist Marmelade kochen eine farbenfrohe Alternative;)
- in this autumn there were so much of these wild fruits, I couldn't leave them all to the birds ... and on grey days nothing is better than treating colourful fruits to jam;)

After I shot this, I've looked for more opportunities, but coming up with the right combo of color, bright and reflection is less rare than I'd imagined.

A homemade jam that I purchased from a fruit stand in the valley. Back lit to show off the amazing orange color.

Looking close...on Friday: Jam
Cherry-Merlot jam in a glass jar. If you can see the jar right through the knife, you may have x-ray vision! Or it could just be fun with reflections. Further testing on your own knives may be required.
