What do you do with all the chilly peppers we grow around here, you mix them with sugar and you flavoring of choice..;) Than you take them to festivals and sell them.

For Macro Mondays theme "Green", this is a partially sliced jalapeno chile. While this may be green, eat too much and your face will turn red!

One of my favorite appetizers when I grill something is hollowed out jalapeno chiles filled with grated cheese. For Macro Mondays theme "say cheese". Also for 117 pictures in 2017, #85 a bite to eat.

We decided to start veggie gardening again this year and got it all planted today! Mike constructed the enclosure to keep hungry critters out, complete with a gate. We planted cucumbers, sugar snap peas, spinach, kale, and two tomato plants. Plus, we’re still container gardening on the deck with jalapeños, sweet banana peppers, fresno peppers, and green onions.

We’ve also added a second compost bin (seen in the background next to the fence) and will be getting a rain barrel soon.

We’re looking forward to having home grown produce again!

Can't wait to use these in some sauces.

I had to use a paper larger than 12x12 so I pulled out one I had painted with acrylic paint. This has a feel of cross processing but it is another crazy color scheme to make me work harder today. I finally decided to manually set the white balance, more learning and working. I am constantly finding areas in which to challenge myself so I can improve in all areas of my life. Only a few more days of playing with my daughter before she goes back to school. Thanks for visiting and I wish you a wonderful day!

Polaroid Week | Autumn 2022

It has been in the upper 90's here lately and I am dreaming of cool weather.

Letter J for my alphabet project. I was going to have it be "jump" but it is raining again so no trampoline shots today.

Not all tasty snack's are sweet. Fresh Jalapeños awaken your senses and brighten your day. Spicey tastey treat for MacroMonday.

For the Macro Monday's theme of "Complementary Colours" I had a few ideas but in the end I decided to go with Red and Green Jalapenos.

I work a 14 hour day on Saturday nights and on the way home I will buy a few items from a supermarket and also something to eat.

One thing I buy more often than not is a Lasagne ready meal and I cook it in the oven for 35 minutes. After it has been cooking for 20 minutes I like to add some Jalapenos and return it to the oven for the final 15 minutes.

I usually use either the Red or Green Jalapenos but for this theme I decided to use both so I could have them as my subject for this week.

These are great with Cheese on Toast as well.

I added this to my Pareidolia album as the two main Jalapenos do seem to have facial like qualities.

Not a fan of chilis, mushrooms or black licorice.

This sandwich was so big I needed a knife & fork to finish it.

One and your smokin...it really warms the tummy

This is one of the signs of fall. Temperatures changing from 29 in the morning to 80 the next day. Air conditioning on one day, heat the next, still it's my favorite time of the year!

I do like them hot! Jalapeno peppers, stuffed with with cream cheese, shredded nacho cheese, parmesan and some of the seeds - baked for about 10 minutes - mmm mmm good. What's your favourite pepper?
