The icy face of Alaska’s Margerie Glacier rises over 250 feet into the air at Glacier Bay National Park.
I climbed this mountain several years ago. The title says it all, I think, about how I felt while making my return.
It's Hayden Peak, though, at 12,479 ft. above the level of the sea. I left it with a view engraved on my memory such that I am not soon likely to forget. That sort of thing always makes it a good day for me.
This is the mountain range across from Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado. I love the textures and color. The sky was completely washed out so I replace it in Photoshop. Not perfect, but fun to work on.

The dawn light illuminates the jagged Loughrigg Fell rocks on a cold January morning. Beyond is the fabulous Central Lake District fells in their winter plumage.
I descended not long after this shot and made my way over to those distant mountains and scaled Pike of Blisco which can be seen to the left of the frame left of Bow Fell and Crinkle Crags.
A fabulous first trip out with the camera in 2022. More to come.
