A distant Parasitic Jaeger (Stercorarius parasiticus) off Van Wagner's Beach in Hamilton, chasing a gull in an attempt to get it to disgorge food. Jaegers breed in the Arctic and winter in the southern oceans; they only appear in southern Ontario during their migration. On Lake Ontario, they're easiest to see from shore at the west end of the lake, when strong east winds blow them close in to shore.
