The Roman aqueduct in Segovia, Spain (a UNESCO heritage city) is an engineering marvel. Built by the emperor Trajan during the second half of the first century AD, it looks amazing surrounded by the buildings of contemporary Segovia.

An interesting old home near Wiscasset, Maine. The scene seemed to me to show how modern times are moving in on all of our yesterdays. A mix of a charming rural home and power lines....I “removed” an ugly metal tower right behind the house, but maybe I should have left it in the picture.

Looking across Victoria waterfront from Songhees Walkway.

I was cruising in a tunnel last weekend when i noticed the shadowplay of light and darkness..i thought this black and white shot might also be a good juxtaposition with the colorful sunset i posted last time...one taken above and one taken underground..not something i usually go for but please do indulge me if i experiment once in a while :)

A very bold meeting of old and new at the Battersea power station redevelopment.

P30 Pro - Leica lens.

This one was taken in the town of Gibsons. If you recall the tv show “The Beachcombers", you have seen this place because it was "filmed" there for 18 years. This shot is a good illustration of my first motto, "you never know till you go". Without any predetermined notion in mind, I was just out wandering the area.

This old and discarded boat is a bit of a juxtaposition. While old and disposed of, it sits in the most colorful area. And to add to the story is to say that one of the characters in the show was named "Relic". The other boats are cherished, docked, guarded and admired, yet they sit in an almost colorless background. A fun and contrasting moment. Also, tdraw you in, note that both the foreground boat and mid ground boat are colored almost the same.

"I'm always trying to find connections between things. That art is the juxtaposition of a lot of things that seem unrelated but add up to something recognizable."

The reason why I chose this title:

I keep having the impression to see a kind of crucifix next to (/because of) the biblical painting .

I've been pleasantly surprised with the quiet, open beauty of Manassas Battlefield. Even during the middle of winter, I was able to find this moody scene. The light fell perfectly on the field in front of me. I love the stark contrast between the harsh-looking, dead, and dry earth and the puffy, feature-rich, sky.
