Shot at 'Mediahafen' in the city of Dusseldorf.

A roseate spoonbill leaps off a tree with a small man-made object, headed back to its nest for some fine-tuning.

Nuthatch (Sitta europaea) This nuthatch seems to be jumping for joy at the sight of this pile of food!

This little guy jumped on my table. I could not resist.

My first time to see a jumping spider. It was on a topsoil bag in the yard.

I get up, and nothin' gets me down

You got it tough, I've seen the toughest around

And I know, baby, just how you feel

You got to roll with the punches and get to what's real

Ah, can't you see me standin' here

I got my back against the record machine

I ain't the worst that you've seen

Ah, can't you see what I mean?

Ah

Might as well jump

Go ahead an' jump

Baby, how you been?

You say you don't know

You won't know until you begin

So can't ya see me standing here

I got my back against the record machine

I ain't the worst that you've seen

Ah, can't you see what I mean?

Following this shot this cute and curious jumping spider pinged onto my camera lens!

I ve quite enjoyed my photos going from grey to orange these past few days and the heatwave.

This was Studland Bay in Dorset yesterday evening. I wasn't expecting to get my telephoto lens out but it was one of those hazy sunsets at the end of a sweltering hot day with the sun a red ball instead of my usual starburst. This is normally a great location for long exposures but I was mesmerised by those gentle ripples.

It's definatly cooling down now and with a thunderstorm in the air.
