A little older but still bringing the metal!
Un poco más viejo pero todavía es capaz de tocar con mucha fuerza la música metalera.

Wonderful carving by Gislebertus. Satan here encourages Judas in his death.
It has only just occurred to me, the significance of Judas' death. Like Christ, he hung on a Tree, unlike Christ, at his own hands. It seems to me to show the two aspects of the Tree as seen in Genesis, which according to legend, was originally known to our first parents as the Tree of Death. It was only after the promise of salvation, and the planting of the seeds granted by the Angelic Guardian to Seth, Adam's son, that it was re-named the Tree of Life.
This very old Judas Tree is in the graveyard at St Bartholomews Church, Foston, Leicestershire. As you can see the Judas Tree needs to be supported.
We have been visiting the church grounds for over 30 years and it has always needed this kind of support. I don't know how old it is but I find it fascinating.
St Bartholomews is a 10th century church and is a Grade 2 listed building.
A glass of Mack Judas Yeast on draft at Ølhallen in Tromsø, Norway.
Mack Judas Yeast (4.7% abv) is a strange beast brewed at the small micro brewery in the old Mack brewery in Tromsø, with 60% wheat malt, 40% pale ale malt and using two strains of yeast - both a top fermenting wheat ale yeast and a bottom fermented pilsner!
The result is a cloudy, golden yellow beer with a bubbly offwhite head. It sported a spicy fruit aroma with notes of cloves over a mild citrusy wheat character. Mouthfeel was medium light with a sharp, slightly acidic carbonation. The flavor started out with a fruity sourness, again citrus, with a mild hop bitterness in the finish. At first I didn't get any spices, but as the beer warmed up I could taste cloves just like in the aroma, reminding me of a Belgian saison more than a German wheat beer.
Overall a pretty decent spicy fruit ale, refreshing and tasty.
