Rossendale JTC inherited three Leyland Tiger Cubs from Rawtenstall Corporation and two of these, 58 (466FTJ) new in 1958 and 59 (738NTD) new in 1960, survived to pass to Rosssendale Transport on Local Government re-organisation in April 1974.

 

These buses were unusual PSUC1/5 variants that were only 7 feet 6 inches wide and had Albion constant mesh gearboxes. Both were fitted with 43 seat bodywork by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. 59 was photographed in June 1974 en route from Bacup to Rawtenstall.
