A recent posting here showed ex Jones of Aberbeeg Weymann bodied Leyland Tiger Cub 889 AAX with us at Reliance Bus Works for repair. Trawing through photos this evening to find something to post, I stumbled upon another image of it which I took on its home ground back around 1980. I can't be more specific as to where, sorry, as I never took notes and the 'little grey cells' aren't as responsive as they once were! I would suspect that the bus was already in preservation by this time. Any background info would be welcome, thanks.

I do intend to start posting real winter scenes soon, but I'm having great difficulty getting over summer and fall - they were just so much fun!

It would be easy to assume that former South Wales Transport Mercedes Benz 709D Reeve Burgess Beaver E296VEP had stayed local in passing to Bridgend operator Keith Jones but in fact it had been up to an operator in Hartlepool for a while. Here it is back in Wales on 8th May, 2007.

Peiko Jones loved to drink water from the tap, any tap, but his favourites were the two bathroom taps, he would go from one to another, sampling, like a wine connoisseur, tasting, enjoying, until finally sated and then slosh off for a nap :)
