Joel & Lynn Johnson at 2019, 4th of July Johnson Party. Lynn (whose maiden name is Parraga) is Joel (and Glenn's) 2nd cousin. Lynn's mother was Charlotte Parraga, the daughter of Esther Nelson. Esther's maiden name was Anderson, and she was the sister of Bertha (Anderson) Johnson -- Glenn's grandmother.
This was taken on the grounds of the old and historic Calhoun House, the emotional center of the campus of Clemson University. Yeah, I wore those silly overalls all the time.

Not too long ago, I took a workshop from artist Joel Grimes in Avondale, Arizona. Seeing his style and techniques, as well as hearing him talk, is really inspirational. There was plenty to learn and take away from the workshop. We even got to practice with models. These photographs are better than I could have ever expected when just starting out in a studio setting but it wasn't me, per se. Joel set up the lighting and got things just right, then each photographer got to rotate through and essentially snap off a few photographs. The models themselves were true pros. They needed little to no direction as they could just cycle through their poses but did ask if there was something in particular that we were looking for. The end photographs only needed mild retouching.

724/2008, 161 S Post 3rd Alarm+ “Dorian/Joel’s Building Fire”: The origin of the fire was determined to be in the basement of the Dorian Building. The theory that the fire started in a nearby dumpster has been scientifically disproven. Debris removal is expected to begin on approximately 08/18/2008. The delay in starting is due to the required structural shoring necessary to make the structure safe for workers. The fire's cause is still under investigation. The firefighter hurt and subsequently released from the hospital was re-admitted on Wednesday with serious complications from the original injury
