L to R - Barry, Wally, and Jay.

Barry - Pretty much the official figure with a new cowl and arm and leg details.

Wally- Made to resemble the original Flash costume as well as newer versions of Wally. This figure includes his modified cowl made in the likeness of JL and JLU. His boots have the lightning bolts to pay homage to Jay's original look.

Jay - Made to resemble both the New 52 Earth 2 version as well as his original Golden Age look.

Just some figure combos I have come up with

From left to right:

Poison Ivy-I do like the combination of light flesh and lime for this certain look of poison ivy

Hawkwoman-based directly off her JLU look and I really like how well the MM Wolverine torso works for her suit

Captain Boomerang-based on his LBM2 look

Deadshot-based off nothing in particular just testing combos

So who’s your favorite of this mediocre bunch?

Giessen, university campus Justus-Liebig

So this is the last one for tonight but these are some of my favorites I have made in a while.

From left to right:

Steel: So this is his JLU look which is why he's lacking the cape but, I tried to get an entirely flat silver design and I think the light bley hammer really makes the silver stand out and not to mention the NK head really ties the figure together.

Gotham by Gaslight Batman: Easily my favorite of the bunch and the series 17 Highwayman parts are perfect for him and there isn't much else to say about him besides that.

Hades unmasked: So I guess this is really Raleigh's design but I really liked his design for him and it is pretty perfect for Hades.

So what do you think and who is your favorite of the bunch and why?

Only 45,000 miles at the last MOT and 36,000 in 2006.

From L to R:

DCCU Jason Momoa version, Classic version, and Comics/Bruce Timm JLU version.

Got my hands on SFXMinifigures's JLU Killer Frost and I have to say, the quality is deluxe. The white on the chest is a little off, but Lego's done similar over the years. It looks a lot less off in person admittedly.

Either way, these guys make some good stuff. They've got their own site somewhere, as well as an eBay store, so I'd check em out.

Also Ft. the rest of my JLU-y, 2006 Squad, cause that's who she's gonna be hanging with from now on.

Cheers, all.

Originally called "Ice Maiden"

Ice was a Norweigan superhero first introduced, oddly enough in a Super Friends comic book (which was even more oddly , part of actual DCU continuity!) as part of the United Nations official superhero team, the "Global Guardians".

She ends up joining the Justice League when the scheming Maxwell Lord gets the U.N. to replace the Guardinans with the Justice League.Out of a job, Ice Maiden and her pal the Green Flame (later known as Fire) join the Justice League. They served for many years until the original Ice was killed off then replaced with a similar character who shared the same name. She was one of the most genuinely sweet female characters in the DC comics universe.

The guys who put together the JLU cartoon were cool enough to include her as part of the expanded team (they really tried to get anyone who had ever been in the League in the comics into the cartoon, and then some!), however she doesn't have any lines I can recall and is mainly jsut there in the background to excite us fanboys who fondly remember her from the good old days.

Three figs from the JLU animated series - I made the left two based on a suggestion from someone on Instagram and threw in Green Arrow as another member of the Seven Soldiers of Victory. Let me know what you think!

This shot and build was based on (or inspired by?) one of the best season openers from the animated Justice League series. Featuring none other than Lab9Minifig's recent Captain Atom, among many more familiar faces! :)

This may looke pretty simple, but there was a lof of little details involved with how I lit the photo. So if you wanna know how I did it, of just want to see more of this build Patreon has it all! In fact it's got my reveiw/opinions on this new fig, plus clear shots of the other figures, plus a video showing off the edit for the entire photoshoot, along with bonus fully edited shots featuring the Trinity, and a whole heap of content from past posts!

So jump over to my Patreon where there's seven exclusive posts (not including this one_ about all that stuff! Check it out! :)

"You know Vic, I've been on The Watchtower at least a dozen times now, and the view still blows me away!"

--------------------------------------

I don't know how I feel about this one... Originally, this shot was gonna to be scrapped and tucked away into my portfolio before showing it to my girlfriend, whom really enjoyed it.

My one quarrel with this was that I couldn't quite work out the scale of the planet in comparison to the rest of the build. The forced-perspective just didn't impress me on camera. The build was fun and simple, but the execution just wasn't quite right to me I guess. Besides that, there was also to be another shot of the planet reflecting off the window panes across the two figures faces, but the images taken, just didn't do it for me and didn't even make it this far into the editing stage. I did toss in a few stars to give it a space-y effect, but I'm just not a fan

Anyway, she convinced me to post this, so I'll just leave it here to see what you guys think :P

We'll get back to The Flash next week :)

A small build inspired by the JLU episode The Enemy Below; the episode where Deadshot tries to assassinate Aquaman. Originally the motorcycle chase took place in the sewers but I think this works just as good. The Deadshot is a custom figure painted by my friend Dylan (TheMooseFigs).

Just got some new orders in, so here's some new figures.

L to R

Tsukuri: let's be honest, this is definitely the Katana of the DCAU, but wow this took some time and experimenting, but i think it's just perfect, i hope you all like this.

Parts: Captain Marvel Head, PoP chest, and Katana Legs.

Riddler: I was going to use the Mr Burns torso and a Grey hat, but after seeing Xenomorph79 's riddler, i thought it was a better idea.

Parts: Riddler hat, Riddler head, and Riddler torso. lol

Captain Boomerang, i like this look, i chose the accurate color and symbol of the hat other than the accurate look.

Parts: Captain Boomerang Hat and head, Pirates Torso, PoTC sheath, and Scuba Diver legs

Sorry for the absence, haven't really felt like posting, but i am starting this new series, Showing 3 DCAU figures at a time, no correlation to what heroes they are from, just any villains, i hope you enjoy this, and leave suggestions and feedback if you have any!

L to R:

Metallo: This character looks good, i could use a new head but other than that i think it's perfect. TLM Robot head, chima armor, and BvS Lex torso.

Mr Freeze: Finally got this head to complete my BTAS Mr. Freeze. LBM Mr Freeze armor. Junior Mr Freeze head, Space Galaxy torso, and beast boy legs.

Merlyn: I really like the way he looks in JLU, and i think this torso does him well. Tony Stark head, Black Manta torso, hawk eye bow.

Hey I know nothing about this guy other than he possessed Batman in an episode of JLU and made him shoot a guy.

I made this for Brickophilia. I'll ship it to him at some point. I'll be going ahead and adding this to the "figures I don't have anymore" album.

Pretty simple overall. All red body, white head. Everything is 100% painted. The collar is made from e tape.

Huge inspiration for the muscle design goes to Billy.

Seen at Vincents Walk on the 17 to Weston

With the soft sound of air pressure equalizing through synthetic oxygen, the door to J'onn J'onzz residents sealed shut. The room was cold and dark, the only light crept in from a thick twelve inch piece of glass. It's frame was wide, looking out into the darkness of space. The sun's light bounced off the white and blue surface of Earth, leaving J'onn's room illuminated under a faint blue glow. It was Christmas Eve, and The Green Martian couldn't feel any more alone.

He sighed, resting a red and white package on his bed, then glided slowly to the window; he gazed longingly out across the surface of the enormous blue sphere. This far above the planet, his telepathic mind was quiet. He couldn't hear a soul. In fact the only sound he could hear at all was the soft muffled humming of the main reactor on this enormous Space Station. He closed his eyes and let his mind wander back to earlier this evening. Clark was boarding the Javelin with Flash and The Green Lantern....

"I insist! Come to Smallville with me, J'onn!" Clark smiled hopefully. "It's so quiet, I swear you can hear the snowflakes touch the ground!"

However, J'onn's emotions were a mixed case of loneliness, confusion, and longing for his own Martian family. Christmas was never an easy time for him. It stood as a reminder of all he has lost in his life. All the traditions he upheld so long ago.

"I'm afraid this holiday has no meaning for me..." J'onn replied somberly but stern.

"You know you're always welcome, J'onn" Clark spoke kindly. "Oh! I almost forgot!" He stepped away for a moment, only to return with a present wrapped in red and white paper. He handed it to J'onn without hesitation, grin spread wide across his face.

"But I have nothing for you..." J'onn said discouraged.

"Nonsense! Your company is all we could ever want!" Clark smiled again, turned, and boarded The Javelin. "Enjoy your holiday, I hope you like your gift!" He said turning back, waving to him as the loading ramp sealed.

J'onzz opened his eyes suddenly, finding the glow the planet's surface unchanged, but additionally, the soft hue of primary colors flickering calmly in the corner of the room. It was a surprise to him to see a small green pine tree decorated with blinking lights inside his quarters.

A faint smile of content grew as he quietly glided over to the tree. He touched it's branches softly, it's bristles still full of life.

His attention gradually returned to the present on his bed. He smiled once again and retrieved it, taking it to the window. Piece by piece, J'onn gently removed the paper. Inside was a knitted sweater. The initials JJ were sewn into the back of the collar, and down to the the very last snowflake, the stitches were drawn with human hands.

J'onn's smile brightened. He could feel a warm joyful sensation swelling up inside his chest. It was only a piece of clothing, but the love and affection put into it filled his soul with a strange comfort. A feeling he had not felt in a very long time. As he admired this piece of fabric, an envelope with his name fell from inside it. He opened the letter as he did the gift, with care and gentle strength. It read;

"J'onn, the team and I had been thinking about how you tend to feel during this time of year. We all know what it must be like, to be around folks who have families to go home to. From the team and myself I hope you know that we will respect your solitude, but I can't promise that we won't miss you.

Thanks to Ma Kent for knitting this for you in her spare time. We couldn't let anyone stay up here by themselves without leaving a gift for them! It just wouldn't be right!

Oh and the Tree was Barry's idea! I hope it didn't startle you!

I know we may not be your true family, but I hope that we can be the next best thing.

Merry Christmas Martian Manhunter

Your friends,

Clark, Bruce, Diana, Barry, Hal, and Arthur"

This story was inspired pretty heavily by Paul Dini's Justice League episode, "Comfort and Joy”; It's one of my all time favorite episodes in the series! (they're all fantastic, but this is one of my top fives for sure!)

I don't commonly post things relating to holiday's but I don't know, this year has been total crap from the beginning; the last few months have been especially quite dire. So something struck me recently! To upload a positive “final post” for 2016. Besides, I've been Jonesing to make another Watchtower build since my last one flic.kr/p/vAkjsv really needed an upgrade!

So in a manner of speaking, this story and build just kinda came naturally. Two Birds with One Stone if you will. :)

Anyway, Patreon has a few photo's of the build, a bit more of the furniture, and a fun side-by-side comparison of pre-edit to post-edit for this image! …He's also wearing the sweater ;)

Dan Cassidy was an effects artist hired to create the lead character's stunt-proof costume for a movie titled The Blue Devil. When an actual demon arrived on set, he attacked Dan believing him to be a real demon as well, but in the demon's attempt to drain the occult power from his foe, he bonded Dan with his suit, forever transforming him into the real Blue Devil!

Can you tell what set I just got? I've been anxiously awaiting a blue minifig head and bare torso for so painfully long that I just had to bust out the two minifigs I needed them for! So, sorry if it seems a bit lazy, but it had to happen!

I'm mostly troubled by this guy's horns. This seems to be the best option color-wise, but man, if Lego could put out a few more options for minifig horns, that would be lovely!

While not a Commander like his grandpa, Hank Heywood still sought to carry on his superhero legacy. His grandfather reluctantly gave him the same implants he had to supply his super strength, speed, and durability. After his death at the hands of one of Professor Ivo's androids, the Steel legacy was carried on by his cousin Nate - Citizen Steel.

Not a very complicated figure - just my Citizen Steel with hair in place of his helmet. His costume is pretty much identical to Nate's, save for his hair peeking out of the top of his cowl. It's not perfect, but it works!

I just *had* to upload the two of them together. They're a classic duo!

Left to Right

Sandman: Indiana Jones fedora, city head, gas mask, custom purple cape, Mr. Burns torso and legs, brown hands, and custom built gun.

Rocket Red: Based off of the JLU show. Classic castle helmet, yellow head, galaxy squad torso turned around, dark gray arms, red hands, vambraces, red hip, space police legs, and red 1x1s

Bronze Tiger: He has been updated since the last picture- I gave him a black electrical tape jacket, two black hands, two orange 1x1s to make him taller, and wolverine claws

Lobo: LEGO friends hair, Jack Sparrow head, city torso, white arms, black hands, CMF DJ legs

Tell me who is your favorite and why

i've been sick all day, meaning i stayed home, i've been rewatching JLU all day and i love it. so here's some DCAU figs from BTAS and JLU

L to R:

Sinestro: this idea is from Jonathon, i love how it looks and it's accurate. based on his JLU look. Sinestro Head, Blue Beetle body.

Batgirl: Since i had the extra sinestro parts, i realized the legs work for Batgirl from BTAS, so i tried it and it worked, i really like it.

Batgirl Head, Helmet, and torso, Sinestro legs, and LBM Robin capr

Ares: i don't think i've seen anyone do this guy in his JLU look, i personally think it turned out extremely well, definitely my favorite of this group. CMF Hiker hair, Legolas head, PoP armor, CMF soldier torso, and C3PO arms and legs.

Tim Drake Robin: from BTAS, i think it works good, not much to say about this guy. Robin head and torso, LBM Robin cape, Mr incredible legs, and Vacation Batman arms
