This is one of the vehicles that took part in the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally in Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1988.It's a 1959 Morris JB Van, over 48,000 of which were produced between 1957 and 1961. A note in the programme of the event says this about it:
'8444 UA MORRIS JB VAN, 1959, Entered by P. Smith, Stockport. After spending all its working life in the Leeds area, this vehicle was purchased for preservation in 1980.'
My neighbour, John Bennetts is a drummer. What’s it like living next door to a drummer? We don’t hear a thing. John has a state of the art electric drum set. He makes drum tracks for downloading from the internet for musicians to incorporate in their own compositions.

In the 1980s, John travelled the world as drummer for the Australian group, Eurogliders.
I thought he'd make a good subject for a portrait.
