My favourite view in Jasper National Park😊
Captured on the first day of our drive back home to Vancouver
Athabasca Falls is a waterfall in Jasper National Park on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometres south of the townsite of Jasper, Alberta, Canada, and just west of the Icefields Parkway.
We visited Jasper National Park back in July of this year. This view was just outside our cabin. I ventured about ten yards to this point as the evening was fast ahead. Little did I know a coyote would soon pass this spot about one minute right after I left. We saw him from our cabin window as he passed right by.
There are some major fires going on in the national park currently. A lightning strike on Sept 1st was the cause. My heart and prayers are with those up in that area.
Westbound CN 119 climbs into Jasper, Alberta, with the snow capped mountains behind and an SD75I in the lead.
The Wee Jasper Bridge over the Goodradigee River, near Yass, NSW. Because of the Covid 19, the local store is closed, the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary is closed and Careys Caves is closed. The scenic countryside and roads are open. 😊
Early morning with sunrise light over Pyramid Lake ... a magical place and time to be there as well.
This was taken half way between Hinton and Jasper Alberta. This lake is super shallow end to end. This was just after technical sunrise.
Spent an hour watching Wasps at their nest site today, fascinating stuff!, they must have a large/late brood as the workers were constantly delivering food, a constant stream of Wasps leaving and returning to the nest most of which were carrying something, this particular nest was concealed within an old slate wall, I remember calling them Jasper as kid! :)

Whenever Jasper, my photo assistant, is in the mood to take a photo tour, he take a seat in a shoe :-)
Thanks Leonie for the shoe!
Happy Sunday all!
Jasper definitely has some behavioural issues, he has become quite close to me, but he keeps biting my hubby.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by, your comments are very much appreciated, take care, stay safe and have a lovely new week ahead 👍
I know. I promised Monday as "Dog Day." Well this is eight hours early, but I wanted to share more of Mt. Diablo tomrrow before moving on to ... who knows what.
This was Jasper, an Australian Shepherd I think. What I can tell you about Jasper is that he kept looking at me like this. I think he loved me! But his owners wouldn't let him go. I met them on Ginder Gap Trail on Mt. Diablo. As obedient as Jasper was, the people he owned wouldn't let him off the leash. Good humans.
I'll bet if he could use that look, he got everything he wanted. Maybe even a sheep.
Guess who got a new Oddball for Christmas! After a rousing game of Backyard Oddball, we took a little break in the grass, Jasper still wearing his game face. Jasper loves a lot of toys, but Oddball is clearly his favorite. He gets about 10 minute play after breakfast, lunch and dinner and Jasper always goes for the Oddball. It's funny to watch him catch it and I really need to get it on video. He'll stretch both his front paws in forward, like he's going to catch it like a human. But ultimately I think he just uses his paws to funnel the Oddball to his mouth.
