Lagartija romana,

al sol por los tejados.

¿Bajo qué humilde teja

escondes tu palacio?

Ya eres de bronce verde,

ya de oro azul opaco.

¿De qué orfebre has salido,

en qué cuello has soñado?

Fija, miras al cielo,

los árboles lejanos,

las torres y las cúpulas,

los muros agrietados.

Luego, graciosamente,

te alejas paseando.

MONTE COMPATRI, LAZIO, ITALIA

Questa foto è dello scorso anno. Eravamo in piena pandemia, come ora.

Circa 3000 deportate in Germania, circa 3000 fucilate o impiccate, 1100 cadute in combattimento.

There's a good reason you may remember her... there was a hiccup and a few latest photos vanished... :))))

I feel that I need to clarify this portrait - she is listening to a serious classical music and not angry at anyone... ;))))))

My good flickr friend Richard Taylor graciously sent me an image from his Daz 3D collection, called; "Courtyard-Italy" as a trial to see if these type of images would work well in Photoshop, in this instance, a background. I grabbed an image of a car off the internet - in this case a side view of a 1939 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta. It should be noted that Richard had already expertly "staged" the lighting of the background scene.........and perhaps performed additional manipulations with the image. (Frankly I do not fully understand working with 3D renderings, nor am I familiar with the 3D lingo so excuse me if this explanation sounds confusing or convoluted).

I am contemplating trying my hand at this 3D 'thing'. In this case the application is called, "Daz Studio" and it's a free download. My understanding is one buys "assets" with which to render. These "assets" could be almost anything; human figures, clothing, utensils, weaponry, vehicles - essentially any and all types of objects. The only drawback that I have seen is that the selection of "assets" do not include much in the way of either "retro" or "vintage" materials. They are, for the most part, "Sci-Fi" related. Nevertheless this might open a new and exciting avenue for additional images with which one could work. - especially within the sphere of composite artwork.

I intend to explore this further (with the help of my friend, Richard). Richard Taylor's interesting and entertaining renderings can be viewed here - www.flickr.com/photos/34094515@N00/

Thanks again Rich for sharing this background image with me.
