This homeless man is selling a magazine called "The Big Issue". A well-to-do couple, carrying shopping from a nearby designer store, walk by ignoring him... as do at least 50 more people. In the distance there is an ATM machine with the sign "Cash" over it.
The Big Issue is "an award- winning entertainment and current affairs magazine, that is produced by professional journalists." It is sold on the streets by homeless people. In the UK, they buy the magazine for 70 pence and sell it on for £1.50, keeping 80 pence for themselves.
