Description: On July 22, 2019, in Niamey, the Seasonal Malaria Prevention Chemo campaign is launched for children aged 0 to 59 months under the supervision of the National Malaria Control Program. The seasonal chemoprevention of malaria (SPC) has been implemented in Niger since 2013, in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Malaria Control Policy. Children under 5 years of age carry about half of the disease burden (62.43%) and about 3/4 of that of malaria-related mortality in Niger (74.65%) between 2014 and 2015 There are approximately 3 episodes of malaria per year in children. In this picture, a resident of the Burkina Faso FETP is administering sulfadoxine pyrimethamine and amodiaquine to an infant and raising awareness about the measures to fight against the disease such as using mosquito nets, destroying larval sites, and improving the health of the environment.
Justicia para Joaquín: Presentan proyecto para modificar sistema penal adolescente
Un proyecto de ley que busca modificar el sistema de responsabilidad penal adolescente, haciendo una distinción entre los menores de 14 y 15 años y aquellos que tienen 16 o 17, presentó un grupo de diputados, liderados por el UDI Issa Kort.
La iniciativa, llamada “Ley Joaquín”, responde a la solicitud hecha por un movimiento ciudadano que nació en Rancagua tras el asesinato del joven Joaquín Fernández, de 18 años, quien fue apuñalado por un menor de 16, que trató de robarle su celular cuando circulaba por el centro de la ciudad jugando Pokémon Go.
We were able to meet up with high school friend Issa Mikel for dinner tonight. It was great to catch up with him. In spite of this very serious photo of him, Issa is one of the funniest guys I know.
