This little heart breaker is Issa. An amazing little boy. He comes from the slum areas of Dares Saleem in Tanzania, has been bought over to Australia for surgery to repair his club foot, and bring him back to good health. When he can walk again he will go back to Tanzania, and If enough funds are raised, he will be able to go to school, have three meals a day, a proper roof over his head, and live in a safe environment for the first time in his life.

Mounkaila Issa, Niger: In Niger, measles is a health problem because the country records epidemics of measles every year despite the availability and effectiveness of the measles vaccine in the national vaccine program. The Ministry of Public Health was alerted on Wednesday 31 July 2019, numerous suspected cases of measles at the Tchibarkaten gold panning site (Agadez region), located 4 km from the Algerian border, and 2,115 km from the capital Niamey. This site is located in the middle of a desert and major insecurity zone, which makes access to it extremely difficult. In this picture, a resident of the Burkina Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program administering Measles Vaccine to all soldiers responsible for securing the site. We recommended improving surveillance of measles and all and the implementation of appropriate vaccination strategies despite the difficult accessibility of the site.
