An isometric view showing the inside of the band and part of the side of the ring. The hole in the base of the band is the tube where the faceted citrine is set. The hinge pin goes through a tube on either side of the ring and the flared end has been filed with a pattern that mimics the coral stars. Beneath the pin are two 14k gold granules.

The overall height of this ring is just over 1 inch.

Quartz on Sphalerite. Sphalerite is zinc iron sulfide. In this view the specimen is seen in natural light (top) and under longwave ultraviolet light (bottom). Under UV light the sphalerite fluoresces orange. Commodore Mine. Creede Mining District. Creede., Mineral Co., Colo.

This is Sennheiser's new mid-range open dynamic headphone, dubbed HD 700. It costs 999,95$ USD, roughly 2/3 the price of the high-end HD 800.

As a DT880 fan, I love its open, bright sound signature that focuses less on forgiving sound than detail and foot-tapping awesomeness.
