Islandview Beach Saanich BC. Out with James late September chasing auroras and warming up on this lonely little half dead tree. Al most a desert feel to this little bit as the land turns to sandy beach. Thanks for taking a look.

Out painting with the aurora out. It was the first time I have seen them this far south. I would love to go north for more.

The tranquil atmosphere of this unforgettable moment.

The sunset at Poda Island in Krabi is a breathtaking sight. Located just off the coast of Ao Nang, Poda Island is famous for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and towering limestone formations. As the sun sets, the sky over the Andaman Sea transforms into a beautiful palette of warm colors—shades of orange, pink, and purple that reflect off the calm waters.

The island’s sandy shores provide an ideal spot to watch the sun dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the landscape. The silhouette of the iconic limestone rock formations adds to the natural beauty, creating a stunning backdrop for the golden hour.

I don't know whether I could make a point of presenting this picture but the view in front of my eyes was just awesome.

Three beaches from the Karon Viewpoint in Phuket

My morning tour of Phuket island started off at this place- the Karon Viewpoint- called Kho Sam Haad in Thai, which means ‘The Hill of the Three Beaches’. So that's exactly what you see from here- three beaches. Located quite a distance from my hotel, and on top of a hall, this is one of Phuket's most popular photo spots, and well worth a few minutes to take in the splendid view. The closest and smallest beach seen in the foreground is Kata Noi Beach. A bit further is the beautiful Kata Beach with its island ‘Koh Poo’ which means Crab Island and in the far, the very long Karon Beach.

Another graveyard shift over. 24 frames 360 degrees, an aurora a plane and a crazy moon. I had to try my hand at a little planet. Island View Beach Victoria BC. a rare sight I will post the unwrapped panorama another time good night.

Most foreign visitors to Phuket came from Russia, with China serving as the second-largest source despite its ongoing economic slowdown

Quite important and right words...

A couple weeks ago I had a day off with the chance of auroras. I got out to Islandview beach, with my new friends James and Robert and this is: 360 degrees of Islandview Beach as promised. 24 Vertical frames. Some lightpainting in the foreground some auroras going on and a really cool moon. It was an amazing night and my first time shooting auroras.

Khao Rang viewpoint tower landmark in Phuket town it is on Tung Ka hill in Phuket town.

Good views over Phuket, though it was a little hot when we were there. Got the bonus of some monkeys, though some looked in need of medical attention

Volcanic action left piles of boulders strewn across the Aruban landscape (similar action created the much larger rock formations in Joshua Tree National Park in California, USA). The Casibari Rocks is the largest set of formations on this Caribbean island known mostly for its beach resorts. Spread over a few acres of cactus gardens, Casibari is a peaceful spot for wonder and quiet contemplation.

In the background you see Mt. Hooiberg, one of several ancient volcanic cones that dot the Aruban landscape. At 541 feet, it's the second tallest on the island. There are a set of steps (the Hooiberg Steps) that allow fairly easy access to the summit from which one can see the entire island.

An overview of the whole island. As you can see, it is as flat as a pancake. The highest structure is a telephone tower.

Pigeon Island is a national park on the northwest coast of St. Lucia in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The island is now joined to the main island by a causeway. Since colonial times this has served as a stronghold for the Spanish, then the French, and finally, the British. There are many ruins of old buildings and fortifications from different eras. On the right you see the leeward side with a series of lovely beaches and the red roofs of the Sandals resort on the causeway. Straight ahead you see the north end of St. Lucia just beyond a large bay that opens toward the Caribbean.

I've spent a lot of time in St. Lucia and continue to go back, so I'm always posting more pictures of this beautiful Caribbean island. Click this link to see my full album www.flickr.com/photos/tpridemore/albums/72157625551418563
