Along the coastal Kerry Ring.

Burren National Park- Ireland

Clouds gather like dark sails over the Ring of Kerry, and the sea turns to pewter where bands of light slip through and paint the coves; headlands layer into soft silhouettes, islands rise like resting whales, and the evening feels hushed and tidal, the road and the water both unspooling toward a quiet horizon.

Wild coast of Ireland in summer. This place is just one example of the thousands of landscapes along the coast of the island. It would take years to scan the entire Irish coastline, so we'll have to come back.

The Cliffs of Moher rise like a book of stone, pages dark with time and stitched in grasses, while O’Brien’s Tower keeps its weathered watch above the Atlantic’s endless blue; wind braids salt into the heather, seabirds stitch white flecks along the ledges, and the whole coast feels like a long held breath where earth meets sky without apology.

The slippery surface of the Giant's Causeway.

I figured this would be a fun way to start your Thursday – a “guess where this was taken” post. I’ll update the post & comment section with the answer this afternoon around 4-5PM EST – guesses welcomed until then! A hint – it’s probably not where you’re expecting :)

EDIT – 4:25PM EST: This photo was taken at the Irish Hunger Memorial in downtown New York City, near Battery Park. Totally random encounter during a walk with my buddy James Robilotta, and if you can believe it, there is a skyscraper directly to the right of the image, and a port to board ships at the top end of Battery Park to the left of it. I deliberately processed the image how I’d imagine the Ireland coast must look like…hopefully it triggers something for those who have been there!

In any event – this challenge probably won’t happen often, but I thought it would be a fun idea. Thanks to those of you who gave it a shot!

Feedback & advice much appreciated.
