Out for a work meeting and had to grab a photo of the Inside of a very impressive building in Sydney's CBD. The location of the concierge desk makes it impossible to centre yourself under the glass roof, but it's impressive nonetheless!
As another sun sets on another year, I want to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you a very happy and healthy 2017. May the new year bring you and yours great joy and peace, and an abundance of blessings and love.
Happy New Year! ❤️

My challenge this week: iPhone pictures with no photoshop. :)
(because I'm away from home/no computer)
An old chandelier with a very textured wall for its backdrop made a stunning view.
iPhone 7 Plus and favourite Snapseed app.
I was on a holiday in Blankenburg, Germany. There are many beautiful old houses there....
I like the colours…..
It striked me that in Blankenburg many utilitarian buildings and things like electricity boxes are painted with natural scenes etc. Here one of the many examples....
The ferry to Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty from the New Jersey side leaves from the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal. Train passengers transferred here to ferries to Lower Manhattan since 1864. Today ferry service is for people visiting Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The fenced-off structure in this shot covers 12 abandoned platforms and 20 tracks.
Shot with an iPhone 7 Plus, on a tripod. Edited in Adobe Lightroom, Aurora HDR 2017, and Noiseless CK.
So, no...this is about as far from "straight out of the camera" as you can get without getting Photoshop involved. But I'm determined to treat the iPhone 7 Plus like a "real camera" and this is exactly what I would have done with the same shot from my Olympus OM-D E-M1.
Cameras make snapshots. Photographers make photos…in a darkroom, long after snapping the shutter.
Taken with the new iPhone7 Plus in portrait mode. The depth effect is a hit and a miss at times but for a camera on a phone/in your pocket it is pretty amazing.
