I was intrigued with the night lights and geometry of the ION Orchard structure. Completed in 2009 it's futuristic appearance is fascinating.

I guess I am not the only one, as it has won two EG Retail and Future Project Awards, the Best Architectural Entry and the Best Retail Development over 20,000 m², at Mapic 2006 held in Cannes, France, in November 2006.

Piccolo gioiello all'interno del Giardino dell'Orticoltura di Firenze è il tepidario Roster, dal nome del suo costruttore. Questa agile monografia, ricca di tavole storiche e foto a colori, ne ripercorre l'origine, voluta nel 1878 dalla Società Toscana di Orticoltura per rimediare alla "deficienza di locali coperti nel giardino sperimentale", come si legge in una circolare che in quell'anno la società inviò ai suoi soci. Questo suggestivo e elegante giardino d'inverno, "bellissimo ornamento del nostro giardino sperimentale", tutto in ferro e cristalli, fu realizzato per l'Esposizione che si tenne a Firenze nel maggio 1880, per dare prestigio e lustro alla città in un momento in cui l'orticultura e il giardinaggio risultavan...

I came upon this ruin while roaming around in Mahatab Bagh(Moon Garden),the garden built by Shah Jahan opposite to the Taj across the River Yamuna in Agra.I wanted to capture the Taj from there but the light was not suitable.Then I spotted this graceful ruin on the banks of the Yamuna.I love simple old ruins like this.They fill me with a kind of peace and tranquilty and I love to dream of their past and imagine how things would have been in their days of glory.This time I imagined how ladies of the Mughal court in all their finery might have come here to sit beside the river and enjoy some moments of leisure.The mellow winter sunshine really lent wings to my imagination and I could almost hear their chatter and laughter and the tinkle of their bangles.I hope my friends don't think me foolish:-)
