During 13th and 14th century Kostajnica became a fortification that was built as a protection against invading Turks. The owners of the fortification were members of the noble families Lipovečki, Tot, Frankopan, Benvenjud and finally Zrinski, so the castle is today known as Zrinski castle (Stari grad Zrinski in Croatian). Other forts existing during that period were in the surrounding villages of Komogovina, Svinica, and Prevršac. After, Commander of the Hrvatska Kostajnica was Duke Luke Novosel of Transleithania (House of Novosel) (Croatia and Slavonia part). The Turks invaded Kostajnica in 1556 and it wasn't until 1687 that the town was liberated.

Invader.

Manchester.

On a day out to Newcastle on my own I went to the Baltic Art Gallery looking at the latest exhibits when I came across a piece of random pixel sticking on the side of the steps on the second floor in the Gallery. When I looked at it I realized what it is its a famous artist from France INVADER! I have found an INVADER.

The Venetian Palace, built by the Venetians and then destroyed by the Ottoman invaders in 1571, what was left of the palace was used as a prison to house those that opposed the invaders. One of the most famous prisoners kept here was Namik Kemal, the national poet of the Ottoman Empire. He had been exiled to Cyprus by the Sultan and was imprisoned in the converted palace for three years between 1873 and 1876.

I really miss this night!!! thanks to everybody that came out
