Youth United Battle of the Bands 2014 was Saturday night!

A big thanks to our sponsors, The Tavern, ReverbNation and InTune Guitar Picks, Inc. A special thanks also to our judges Joe Kwon, Billy Cuthrell, and Craig Reed.

Finally, this annual event would not happen without the dedicated work of Jackie Thorpe and our sound system volunteers.

It was an awesome night with seven youth bands participating!

We've had outstanding color in the sky recently -- or maybe I'm just more intuned to it now that I have a camera

DO NOT USE MY PHOTOS FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT MY PERMISSION

The Sneak Attack is happening more, I have narrowed it down to three reasons why:

-I'm distracted more then ever (in this case by Britney Spears songs)

-My ability to detect an engineers smallest movement in my lab is wearing off

-Engineers are taking courses on being more covert when it comes to ordering RP parts

This happens pretty much everyday, multiple times a day. Sometimes I'm so intuned with crunching numbers or waiting for emails (or daydreaming) I don't notice when someone is standing behind me until they speak. This is immediately followed by a small scream on my part and maybe empty threats depending on who it is.

Now it's haggling time. Engineer needs a part as soon as possible, oh and it's 3:12 and my day is over at 3:30. "What time will they be ready?", they inquire:

"Tomorrow", I say.

"Do you have a better ETA?", they ask.

"Tomorrow afternoon", I reply.

"How about tomorrow before lunch?", they question.

"Fine", I reply with a sigh.

"Tomorrow morning?", they ask.

And so on.
