TINY RED FINCH is seen in parties on the ground around human habitation everywhere, so to capture a pair of the ground was a sheer joy, not sure they felt the same way about my intrusion and presents.

Norfolk Hawker - Anaciaeschna isoceles (M)
Habitat
The optimum conditions for breeding appear to be unspoilt grazing marsh dyke systems with clean, non-saline water, rushy margins, preferably with an abundance of water soldier as well as other aquatic plants.
Threats
Conversion of grazing marsh to arable farming.
Inappropriate ditch management.
Nutrients enrichment.
Pollution.
The impact of global climate change and fluctuations in water levels.
Status & Distribution
The Norfolk Hawker is currently restricted to the fens and grazing marshes that are relatively isolated from polluted water in the Broadlands of Norfolk and Northeast Suffolk. A Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP) for the Norfolk Hawker has been drafted for Norfolk.
Similar Species
Brown Hawker
Brown wings.
Blue-brown eyes.
Blue and yellow markings.
Management
Norfolk Hawker Management Profile
General management principles include maintaining grazing marshes, controlling saline intrusion, controlling nutrient enrichment. There are also best practice guidelines for managing inhabited sites, particularly the dyke vegetation and the surrounding terrestrial habitats.
Case Study
Work is underway to restore habitats for this species in Norfolk.
When visiting Kyoto for the first time, you have to visit Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺, literally "Temple of the Golden Pavilion"). Unfortunately it was raining that day….
Information - WiKi:
""Kinkaku-ji (金閣寺, literally "Temple of the Golden Pavilion"), officially named Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺, literally "Deer Garden Temple"), is a Zen Buddhist temple in Kyoto, Japan.
It is one of the most popular buildings in Japan, attracting many visitors annually.
It is designated as a National Special Historic Site, a National Special Landscape and is one of 17 locations making up the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto which are World Heritage Sites.
The roof is in a thatched pyramid with shingles. The building is topped with a bronze hōō (phoenix) ornament.
From the outside, viewers can see gold plating added to the upper stories of the pavilion. The gold leaf covering the upper stories hints at what is housed inside: the shrines. The outside is a reflection of the inside. The elements of nature, death, religion, are formed together to create this connection between the pavilion and outside intrusions""

The town is noted for its striking position atop a plateau of friable volcanic tuff overlooking the Tiber river valley. It is in constant danger of destruction as the edges of the plateau collapse due to erosion, leaving the buildings to crumble as their underlying support falls away. As of 2004, there were plans to reinforce the plateau with steel rods to prevent further geological damage.
The city is also much admired for its architecture spanning several hundred years. Civita di Bagnoregio owes much of its unaltered condition to its relative isolation; the town was able to withstand most intrusions of modernity as well as the destruction brought by two world wars. The population today varies from about 12 people in winter to more than 100 in summer.
The town was placed on the World Monuments Fund's 2006 Watch List of the 100 Most Endangered Sites, because of threats it faces from erosion and unregulated tourism.
Civita became known in Italian as il paese che muore ("the town that is dying"). Civita has only recently been experiencing a tourist revival.

The sly expression on this Swift Fox (Vulpes fulva) makes me wonder what it is thinking about the intrusion in its territory. I was in a blind a fair distance from the den site and the animals appeared at ease while I observed their behaviour on the prairie landscape in southeastern Alberta.
I entered the blind early in the day before they came out of the den and remained there until they disappeared down into the den for the day or night.

The kingfisher is a loner who, in adulthood, defends a territory, most often a portion of water course about one kilometer long.
Without being an aquatic bird in the strict sense, since it does not swim, the kingfisher bathes frequently or plunges suddenly into the water to seek food. In any case, its stay in the water is so brief that its short and dense feathers, perfectly waterproof, do not retain any liquid particles.
Flying over its stretch of river at the water's edge or keeping watch on a perch nearby, the kingfisher defends its territory against any intrusion of other members of its kind.
If a nuisance arises, then they are fast chases over the water, with the help of high-pitched cries of metallic sounds ... The clashes are rare but intense: it happens that the opponents, standing by the beak , fall into the water without letting go.

Joshua tree has long, fascinated the scientific world as well as just a regular folks blown away by the Majestic beauty of the oddly formed rocks, and the Joshua trees and the energy of the land. Geologist believe the face of the landscape was born more than.100 million years ago. Molten liquid heated by. The continual movement of the Earths crust oozed upward and cooled well still below the earths surface. These plutonic intrusions. Are a giant rock. Called monzogranite. A cult like following believes created Joshua tree. Many have claimed to see UFOs and try to film them.

In some parts of the rural landscape of southwestern Ontario you will see energy producing wind turbines. The contrast is quite striking when you see them near some of the old farm barns. It makes me wonder what the farmers now long gone would think of this intrusion into the rural countryside.
This type of wooden warehouse is found all over East Asia. I saw a similar architecture in Hachijou-jima island in Tokyo prefecture (flic.kr/p/2mhwQTP). I also found it in Madagascar (flic.kr/p/J66QAt) and the Philippines (flic.kr/p/2iDt6Bn).
It is designed to prevent the intrusion of small animals that eat grains inside.
Almost got trapped on the beach during high tide as the narrow passage to the stairway going up was under the water. Luckily there was a rope that was used to climb up. Except for an iPhone which suffered salt water intrusion, all gears were not harmed during this process :)

Pedestrian walk along the river near the harbour for Phu Quoc -bound hydrofoils was occupied by food stalls and roadside cafes.
The structure in the left is a road bridge combined with a sluice built to prevent the intrusion of saltwater into farmlands in the dry season.
This is an approach opposite to the Ca Mau province; they guide saltwater to rice paddies to culture shrimps.

"... Mister Navarro,
Forgive my intrusion
I needed to see you
And see you today!
Mister Navarro! Mister Navarro!
I have arrived at a stunning conclusion
And I feared I would lose my resolve
If I did not come here directly to say:
I've decided to marry you!
I've decided--though Henry's gone--
That life goes on for me!
I have thoroughly thought it through
And the man that I want is you!
Though, it's true, there are quite a few
Who'd strongly disagree
Nonetheless! I will marry you
I confess that I'm frightened to...
Yet, unless I am wrong, you long for love
As much as I!
This is quite unconventional, I admit
But why should that matter a whit?
And, if you do not say yes at once,
I think I'll die! "

Recently I got my home.
It's a very small secret home just for me.
I used to rent a skybox just to change clothes, but it wasn't safe with occasional intrusions and peeping, but here I'm completely free.
It's very comfortable.
But if I stay home for a long time and stop wandering ...
If I was just shooting my own portrait ...
Zzzzzz......
Sorry...No SLURL...:P
Sometimes you are just in the right spot at the right time. This Red-Tailed Hawk was in the middle of eating lunch. We have no idea what he was eating but it was gray and furry. The Red-Tailed Hawk’s Diet varies with location and season. Mammals such as voles, rats, rabbits, and ground squirrels are a major prey; However, it also eats many birds (up to the size of a pheasant). and reptiles, especially snakes. But whatever it was, our taking his portrait did not deter him from enjoying it. Once he tired of our intrusion he fixed the prey securely in his talons and off he flew.

** It was a four hour round trip from Blonville Sur Mer to Mont Saint-Michel but it was certainly worth it . Sometimes these famous sites can not live up to the hype but this one surely did . We had hoped to see it at high tide but the timing was not right for us so there was just a small amount of water around the island. It was a perfect day about 30 C and as clear as a bell
Mont Saint-Michel and its surrounding bay were inscribed on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1979 for its unique aesthetic and importance as a medieval Christian site.
Mont Saint-Michel is a tidal island with notoriously dangerous tides on average the tidal range is 46 feet .The Island consists of leucogranite which solidified from an underground intrusion of molten magma about 525 million years ago, during the Cambrian period, as one of the younger parts of the Mancellian granitic batholith
The lower part of the island is mainly shops and restaurants but it worth climbing the many steps to the summit to see the Abbey. It was constructed in the 11th century, William of Volpiano an Italian was chosen by Richard II, Duke of Normandy, to be the building contractor. He designed the Romanesque church of the abbey, daringly placing the transept crossing at the top of the mount. Many underground crypts and chapels had to be built to compensate for this weight; these formed the basis for the supportive upward structure that can be seen today. Today Mont Saint-Michel is seen as a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture.
