* ( please view in large view) This is just another typical afternoon in our home, Matan said the icemaker changed our lives and he was right, we sit together and have ice-coffee everyday as a family. And I decided to take my dad's point-and-shoot and capture that moment.

My mom reminds me here of a rockstar, don't know why.. :)

Gottfrid, Lill-Babs, & me.

The young female Asian girls created this Distanced Intimacy fashion show. Jiaqi Shen and Essie Liu are the fashion designers and collaborated to create this designed clothing for the Distanced Intimacy Show. The show was displayed at the Parasol Project which is located at 2 Rivington Street, NYC on Friday August 19th to Sunday, August 21st 2022. Yichen Lu is a ceramic artist and created all the plotted candle displays. All these designer artists graduated from Pratt Institute. The Distanced Intimacy explores the capricious nature of intimacy through the tension between layered sheer textiles and structural boning. In accordance with their hand out brochure, there were three essential elements in the show; inky, hazy, and hues.

Inky, back, the thematic color of “Distanced Intimacy” the collection, conveys the paradoxical nature of modern intimacy, invitingly aloof. Inspired by diaphanous materials and structural boning, this section features two signature pieces from the original collection with candle installations highlighting textures.

Hazy, white and black, the “forming” stage in developing the collection, mirrors how intimacy develops as a quintessentially hazy existence, full of ambiguity and uncertainty to be untangled. This section pairs a highlighted prototype from the collection with mixed media installations outlined by boning that organically tangle and overlay.

Hues, colors, the starting point for the collection, epitomize the sprouting moment of intimacies, fiercely tinted with a myriad of vibrant emotions – passion, exhilaration, anxiety, you name it. The focal point of this section is the mountainous textile installation made from manipulated fabrics, materializing how emotions flow out of the body when intimacy lands on you.
