That's what we felt when we looked down on Grasmere from the fell above, on our walk from Rydal Water. I found this picture yesterday and had to paint it !
Plus, after hearing Bruce Springsteen interviewed on Desert Island Discs on BBC Radio 4 this morning, I was enchanted - what a genuine, unassuming man he is. Always an admirer, I am now hooked for life !
His autobiography is called "Born to Run" ... so I think a blast of this fantastic song is called for here, don't you? :o)

I took this at Stewart Park last week. A news crew was interviewing someone about the festivities.
Racing driver Robert Kubica of Poland won the Renault World Series event in 2005 and is currently driving for BMW Sauber in F1. On Sunday 7th August 2006 he is due to replace Jacques Villeneuve in the Hungarian Grand Prix, becoming the first Polish driver to race in a full F1 Grand Prix.

Andrea Mura is interviewed before leaving from Cagliari to Plymouth with his boat, "Vento di Sardegna". From Plymouth on May 29, will start the Ostar 2017, a famous and hard race that Andrea has already won in 2013.

Hi Everyone!! We are still running crazy busy!! We set up our photo exhibit at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge this past Sunday and that exhibit will run through the end of April!!
While Linda was setting up the exhibit with a close friend, I went out on the wildlife drive to see what I could find with another friend!! To our surprise, Ann and I saw something very special while we were shooting!! We were the first to see and photograph the first North American record of a Great White Pelican ever seen in the Americas!!
I knew when it was flying in it was totally different and much larger than our American White Pelican!! As it flew in to land, I took 33 images and then many as it setting in with the American White Pelicans!! It was a new species for me (and everyone else in the Americas) and my first rare bird alert!! Before we left that day the park biologist and many others had joined us!!
The bird has made national news and now the question begins on what was the origin of this amazing bird! It had no signs of bands or zoo tags at all!! This bird in native to Europe, Africa and Asia!! It was a fun day and we have been interviewed and provided images to everyone from Audubon, ABA, Cornell, to the National Park Service!! Timing is everything and we were in the right place at the right time!!

Vancouver my chosen home. I remember in 1988 when I had interview in Canadian Embassy in Athens regarding emigration, I was asked by Consul :
- Where do you want to go ?
- Vancouver , Please
- Why Vancouver ? It's expensive !
- I will work and I will make sure that I will manage, plus it's the warmest in Canada
- Why don't you want to go to Winnipeg , they have Polish stores , churches , community centers , they have huge Polish population – WHY don't you want to go there ?
- I'm sorry, Sir but I'm applying for emigration , if I liked so much all that Polish environment I would just stay there. Could I , Please ! Go to Vancouver , Sir … Please
- ( I made him smile ) I see your point , you will have to wait bit longer but you can go to Vancouver if you want it so much.
All that I was told .. nice city , warn with not much of a winter. I never looked back
BTW .. this image was taken on really hazy day , normally we would be able to see much farther. That forest in the distance surrounding downtown core – that is Stanley Park.
… and yes it is 7 exposure HDR from Cypress Bowl ( North–West from the city )
I'm sorry in advance for not being around – off to shoot at 5am . Another 3-4 hour sleep , sometimes I feel that I will go back to work for the rest …
