This man has been in the game for over 20 years and is still going strong. His styles have evolved and each new direction he takes justifies why he is one of the best graffiti artists the UK has to offer. "Back in 87-88, we were living in Essex, so we’d come to London and it wasn’t a very nice place; people got robbed and that was just part of the whole graffiti thing at the time. On top of that, I’ve been stabbed and I’ve been to prison, all because of graffiti and 24 years later, I still continue to paint."

David McGee, a veteran writer for the Bristol Herald-Courier, is seen interviewing a railfan prior to the Santa Train's arrival in Dante, Virginia. I had the pleasure of being able to speak with Mr McGee for a feature in his upcoming story to be released later this week, and I am forever grateful for his efforts to document the true stories form the coalfields; not just from me, but of all of those who showed up and showed out for this years Santa Train run.

Libraries play a role in preserving our national story as a multicultural society. In 2024 Yarra Plenty Regional Library collected a range of untold stories unique to the experience of migration and the Australian story. Twelve participants shared their stories of migration, their life in Australia and how they feel about being Australian. We were also interested in an object that they still treasured from their Homeland. Interviewer and post production support work by Liz Pidgeon, Local and Family History Librarian. Filming, editing and post production by Media Masterworks Productions and photography by volunteer members of the Diamond Valley Photographic Society based in Greensborough. Interviews took place at Diamond Valley, Thomastown and Watsonia libraries in April and December 2024. This collection includes a selection of the photographs taken, including those that were used as part of the exhibition which took place at Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub 17 March-6 April 2025. YPRL gratefully acknowledges the Local History Grants Program and Public Record Office Victoria, supported by the Victorian Government through the Community Support Fund.
Ignacio, originally from Murcia in southeast of Spain arrived in Melbourne in July 2022, age 37 with his wife and four-year-old son. They lived in several countries, including Qatar for about ten years, before they came to Australia. His career centres on project management in the cultural world, with a speciality in public art and community activation. Ignacio's treasured object from his homeland are these smalll espartenas; reproduction of two traditional sandals called espartena that were worn historically in Igancio's hometown. They are made out of esparto which is a type of grass. "This object belonged to my grandfather and he used to have them in his car as a sort of protection..it's been with me in many different countries... I guess he's protecting me.."

Mr Alex Cicciu dropped me a line and asked me if i'd like to be a part of a project called Wallpaperâ„¢, where he's asking lots and lots of artists to collaborate, each submitting a digital piece which will be stitched together to make a MASSIVE 100ft piece of work when completed!
Obviously I was stoked so hastily said yeah as it sounds a rad idea. not only is that cool enough, Alex did an interview with me and featured on the site, and here it is!
