It is always a joy visiting the Thai "hills" and the young pupils there who come from various ethnic minority groups.
It is difficult for these youngsters to complete their educations because schools can be a long distance from their simple homes. Student and Project sponsorship through THEP (www.thepthailand.com) helps students who want to go to school or university.
At the Department of Education's offices, Susan Race, who manages THEP, and her colleagues conduct regular student interviews. In spite of handling a large number of sponsored Student Scholarships, Susan remembers students’ names and details about their families.
