I have decided not to wear suits to any interviews for jobs where I would never have to wear a suit to work.
This was my first fall-weather interview - so my first interview I didn't wear a pretty grey-and-neutral colored wrap dress, and a wool skirt instead.
A fantastic interview with Orticanoodles is now up on Concrete Canvas.

Didn't have anything planned for today (most interesting films were sold out and most non-sold-out films didn't seem interesting), but decided at the last minute to attend the Nagasaki Shunichi interview in the Schouwburg, which inspired me to go and see his Heart, Beating in the Dark (new version), which turned out to be pretty good.
A radio station doing an interview inside their booth at the Renaissance. Total Axxess or something. This is them doing an interview with Jars of Clay.

05/05/2004 - "Times/Foyles Writers & Readers Forums present an evening with Paul Auster, to celebrate the publication of Oracle Night."
At the Institute of Education, Logan Hall, London (UK).
This evening was pretty inspirational for me. I had originally travelled to London for the Beulah concert, and was only made aware of this at the last minute. I decided to do both.
Auster described ideas forming slowly over a period of years, forming constellations as they linked together. His earlier life and works, successes and failures were also discussed.
I apologise for the quality of the photo, which is an unfortunate thing to do on this site in particular. However, it's an important moment for me and I hope the other attendees found it as fascinating as I did. If you went and have a better memory than I, I'd love to hear your recollections.
The evening was split into three sections - a reading, an interview, and dedications/signings. This photo is from the interview section of the evening. I'm sure you're so glad I cleared that up for you.
(Oh, in case you were wondering... after this, I dashed straight to my original destination: a door with a piece of paper attached saying Beulah had cancelled. It was an incredible experience - to this day I've still not seen a piece of paper quite like it. Beulah split up a few months later so I'm really lucky to have seen that piece of paper while it was still relevant. I'm not bitter, oh no.)

I got to do an ethnographic video interview of some one at their job. I chose to interview Kirk Taylor, the owner of the local art store, Askew-Taylor Paints and Arts. I was pleased that everything worked and that I got to know Kirk better and find out more about this old store that in some ways is like a museum.

A photographer was interviewing someone who was there to do bicycle repair/maintenance before the ride. I liked the look I got here as well as her holding the pad of paper.
On Sunday, June 24th, I rode in the second annual RideUNITED bike tour. The ride was to raise money for the northern Ohio United Way. Over 500 riders were there! There were various distances you could choose to travel, such as 25, 43, or 100 miles. I rode 43 miles, which took me from the Cleveland State University campus in downtown Cleveland, Ohio to the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park all the way to downtown Akron, Ohio, ending at the University of Akron. It was a great ride, I really challenged myself, and I am already planning on riding again next year! You can view the whole set here.
