This closeup of a detail of the Dewis family marker at Advocate Harbour NS reveals what makes white bronzes so special: Though it was installed 135 years ago the marker is undamaged by the elements -- as bright, clear and vivid as it ever was. True, a community of wasps has made its home on the monument face but once their season is over the wasps will depart, the nest will melt in the rain, and the marker will endure as it always has.
A variation of my origional Custom intervention. The first barrel brace and part of the barrel are fused together and a gastube runs to the bolt and cycles it back using direct inpingement. It then recoils into a large hydraulic buffer system massively reduces recoil. The rifle's heavy weight (29 pounds) already helps.
