Even in the English countryside nature tries to reclaim older structures and forms. This viaduct on the Oxford to Birmingham line is built of engineering bricks, but the graceful form of arches has been interrupted by saplings and ivy as they try to reclaim their own space.
Janine was trying to take some serious, artistic shots of the Potter's Marsh scenery when gulls and terns kept interrupting her train of thought.
In case you're wondering, yes it was a bit chilly down by Potter's Marsh last evening. Even more interesting is the fact that it is mid winter where Janine lives.
