A golden field is interrupted with trees enough to serve as a windbreak.

Taken in the Garrison Cemetery at Fort Anne, here a Dandelion seed that has had its flight interrupted by landing in a spider web. The cemetery contains several wrought iron fences that provide great locations for spiders to build webs. Occasionally these snag items that the spiders can't use... Dandelion "parasols" being near the top of the list.

I interrupted this female Pileated Woodpecker having her breakfast outside our front window this morning.

To get an idea of the size of this large woodpecker species, the measured distance from the root at the base of the stump to the hole she had made is a full 12", making her about 14" in total length.

Tofu sat under one of the Acers and was about to keep his fluffy white fur clean when something interrupted him, most likely a BIRD. Dry moments in which he could enjoy his garden have been rare today, though. After weeks of sunny and summery hot weather it's suddenly beginning to feel autumnal.

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them, however! Thanks again!!

Rena finally got to have the windows and sliding glass door opened today so she could sit in front of the screens. She watches lizards, rabbits, birds and handles it all without scratching the screens. I interrupted her for this sunny afternoon photo.
