Olivia (stranger 6).
Olivia is doing an internship with the curator of a gallery and she was lucky enough to be able to work during the Haute Photography in Rotterdam. Then you don't have to sit in the office in a boring way and she could welcome the visitors during the exhibition and give them an explanation. She asked if I knew the work of the photographer Gemmy Woud. She pointed out to me the details in the photos and the recurring theme in the exhibited works. As we talked, I noticed the similarity between the color of Olivia's eyes and the color of the picture hanging behind her. Of course I was allowed to take a picture of Olivia, standing in front of that portrait. At home I edited the photo and converted it to black and white (see photo 2), also beautiful. I still choose the color variant because of the color of Olivia's eyes. Thanks again Olivia.
This is the 6th photo of my 4th round of the 100strangers project. I like doing it, that's why it's already the 4th round.

"I am working on a thruster – which is what makes a spacecraft accelerate while it's in the vacuum of space – similar to one that we could ultimately use on either a manned mission to Mars, a cargo mission to Mars, or other future manned missions. I am building what's called a cathode. It goes into an electric propulsion thruster and creates a plume of plasma. My job this summer is to test that plasma and see whether or not we can improve upon previous generations of the same technology. Today there was a brief period in which I knew something that nobody else on the planet knew – for 20 minutes before I went and told my boss. You feel like you're contributing when you know that you have discovered something new. I'm a student, so I'm learning and I think that's an important contribution, too. Learning about all these technologies in order to advance them forward when the current experts retire or leave is really important."
