Great to receive two Honorable Mentions in the 2013 IPA One Shot competition in the Professional group, People & Places. I love that my buddy Daniel Sjöström is in it and this is not a typical image from me. Except for loosing my sunglasses and bleeding like crazy from falling off a huge & slippery boulder, this was a great 3+ hour sunset in Sweden. :)) So what's the lesson I learned? Not much. But when in doubt always go to Sweden and bring good shoes! That is all.

I'm very happy to win 1st Place in International Photography Awards 2017 under Fine Art - Abstract category with this series called Floating City! The series was photographed in Venice. It's a metamorphosis of architecture, photography, contemporary design and abstract art.

I was extremely pleased to discover that Arctic Rock has been awarded first place in the Nature : Landscape section of the International Photography Awards.
Also Tower recieved an honourable mention in the Fine Art : Landscape section.

Dinajpur is a beautiful and peaceful town in Bangladesh. Dinajpur is very famous for fruits cultivation. There are lots of fruit garden.
Speccily Mango and Lychee of Dinajpur are very famous. Muslims, Hindus, Christian and buddhist people live together here with peace.

今年の国際写真コンペの結果

新宿、池尻、日本橋、赤坂見附、渋谷のTraffic Trails。
自分が写真始めた時からテーマにして撮っているTraffic Trailsなのでこういう国際写真コンペで賞を取れたのはすごい嬉しいです。
Flickrでフォローして頂いている方達はご存知かと思いますが
この手の写真はもしかしたら国内でも自分が一番撮ってるんじゃないかって位、バカみたいに飽きずに撮りまくりました。
このアルバム にアップしてないTraffic Trails写真もまだまだあります、Flickr始めた当初のは削除したりしちゃってますし。
東京にいた時は終電逃してそのまま朝まで撮り続けてたり、会社帰りとかもひどい時は週4日連続で歩道橋に登り続けたり、
もちろん怪しいので職務質問も何度か受けてます。
それと今回5枚組の「シリーズ」で受賞しましたが、日本で言う「組写真」とはまた違う意味合いみたいです。
過去の他の方の作品も見て回りましたがストーリーにしなければダメという規定もありません。
全く関係無いのを提出すると当たり前に落とされると思いますが、これは提出するフォトコンによって多少異なってくるかと。
なので単純にSNSで評価を頂いていてたり自分が好きな写真をセレクト。
国内外でこれまで何万枚撮ったかわかりませんが東京縛りのシリーズです。
世界に認められたて言うと大げさで胡散臭いのですが、世界で活躍するプロの写真家達が審査して受賞できたのは確かで今後の励みになります。
結果は2位でしたが2013年IPAで最優秀賞・NYまで行っちゃった時より今回の方がこれまでの積み重ねで自分らしい写真ですし、大変光栄に感じます。
なんだか膨大な時間・労力が少し報われた気がしていて本当うまく審査員の好みにはまってくれてラッキーでした。
他Architecture、Fine Art、AdvertisingなどでいくつかHonorable Mention(佳作)。

I am so happy to find it today that my photo won the 2nd Place Prize in the Fine Art-Landscape category of the 2021 IPA International Photography Awards, one of the most prestigious photography awards worldwide!! My winning image is now posted on the online IPA Winners Gallery and will be published in the IPA Annual Book of Photography. Also, I am chosen as a Canadian photographer by the IPA jury in their Country Pick!! Moreover, ten of my photos won the Honorable Mention in the 2021 IPA in five different categories. So much good news today! I am so grateful!
