When in Cambridge this time we stayed at Christ's College - in what is, during the Academic year, student accommodations. It was much more charming than that might suggest, especially since this was a rather large room in a house built in 1823, with historical features (such as the windows in re-imagined Tudor style) preserved.

This Gothic style chapel adjoining King's College (which itself was established in 1441) is known as King's College Chapel which was built 1446-1515. This very grand building is somewhat of a symbol of Cambridge, and is also famous for having the world's largest fan vault.

a house in a house is a house ...
you are always surprised when you enter a building, because the interior is always larger than expected from the outside ... Security (in connection with cosiness) is simply the greatest ...

Interior of the St. George church in Piran :)
St. George's Parish Church in Piran is a Roman Catholic church located on the hill, built in the Venetian Renaissance architectural style. It was the life work of the stonemason Bonfante Torre from Venice. Construction of the church began in 1592 and it was finished in 1614. The new free-standing bell tower, which was a separate building and was a faithful replica of St. Mark's Campanile in Venice, was finished a year later. The interior furnishings and decorations were finished by 1637, when the church was consecrated.
