My friend Cristina Hadzi is an interior designer. Each year she sends out an example of her work as a christmas card to her clients and this year we collaborated with her on this project.

The chair and table were in the living room of one of her clients who was gracious enough to let us photograph there. The room was high up overlooking the Hudson River in Manhattan with light coming in from three sides. The direct light from the west facing windows was pure skylight, but then bounced around the walls and carpet and provided a perfect warm fill light to subtly contrast the cool direct light.

We moved the table and dressed it with flowers. Cristina was quite pleased with the results and this photo was used for her card

A19th century terracotta lion in the naive style.

It’s a piece with great character and a lovely patina of lychin growing over him.

Will do fine inside or out.

An eighteenth century Irish giltwood mirror. These two mirrors are often sold as a pair.
