So begins the process of revamping the ReplicatorG interface to a Makerbot-centric, usability and design-focused masterpiece. I feel the software is a big roadblock on the path to widespread adoption in schools. Time to put my graphic design powers to work! I'm going for full-touch, kiosk-style interaction.

Pellon 906 Fusible Sheerweight is an ultra lightweight, nonwoven, fusible interfacing for sheer to lightweight fabrics. It is great for wovens and knits such as crepe de chine, voile and handkerchief linen.
These floor tile things are wicked cool. Super easy to peel and stick, and they look fantastic. This runner is five "leaf" colored stripe tiles at $9.99 each. Can't beat that.
When I started out taking pictures it was all about fumbling about in the dark like a teenager, (Which ironically I was!!!) loading films in the dark and mixing chemicals.
I spend days on end in my dads shed that he'd converted into a darkroom for me. No ventilation and getting high off dev and fix fumes.
Sweating my bits off in a tin can while thinking I was the dogs dangly bits because I was doing it myself rather than sending my film off to the local chemist to have them developed.
When digital first came along I was irate. How dare these half baked photographers think that they could take an ordinary shot and turn round and say "It'll be ok, i'll sort it when I get home."
"If you can't take a great shot there and then then you don't deserve to call yourself a photographer"
Here I am 17 years later......
If you don't know what you're doing to start with then I stand by what I said then,BUT if you're taking a shot and know what you're doing with it, and what your GOING to do with it when you get home then respect to you, but a lot of people use photoshop as an excuse to take mediocre photos in the hope that when they stick it on a computer something magical will happen. If this is the case then you're not using it in the way that it was intended.
Back in the day every shot had to count because even if you only had to wait for one hour for your shots to be processed there was an element of antisipation about wether you had got that magical shot in the bag or not. Like most things now, results are instant and a lot of people don't appreciate just how accessible photography has become to joe bloggs and all his mates.
Like a lot of things, we take instant results for granted without realising how fortunate we are.........
Anyway. Here I am now going back on my word that digital proccessing is evil and trying my hand at something that I've not really got to grips with.
When I started out on my first 365 I didn't have photoshop, and the first 40ish days where all SOC. Then my loving wife got me photoshop and the whole world changed.......
As much as we don't want to embrace change we have to move with the times, but not forget where we came from.......
Not being a Photoshop expert (or a photography expert) I started this second year in the hope of learning more of the things that I was learning last year......
Who knows what this time round will bring?
Thanks to this guy, for this tutorial that I had to try just to start n get myself back into the swing of things again :)

Interface developed in Processing to export a vector field which negotiates between four environmental concerns (also simulated in Processing) to a text file that could be read and imported by Grasshopper for the Organicités Spring 2011 Studio.
This definition uses the Half-Edge mesh class for geometry. The control panel borrows from ascorbin's post at the Processing forums on multiple windows and Marius Watz' post here on non-standard frames to circumvent Anar+'s incompatibility with 2D control libraries.
